all the fire type starter represent a member of the chinese zodiac
so we're still missing
the horse(isn't that a ponyta),ox,rabbit(i think that would be great a hot bunny) ,snake( this is gonna seem like a knock off of the 5th gen grass starter),goat, tiger that would be awesome
but it does kind paint them into a corner with the horse and the snake

What about Magikarp and Goldeen, they're both based off fish which are fully aquatic

This totally falls apart with the new generation starters. You shouldn't have even tried, or at least should have waited for the final evolutions to be released.

except axolotls are fully aquatic. And torterra lacks the tail club of ankylosaurus, its more like an edmontonia or something similar

Cyndaquil is a mole/shrew/hedgehog thing. Not really a rat.
Fennekin is a fennec fox. It is in the canine family but is not a dog.

In fact I am wrong with Cyndaquil, it is an echidna. Fire= spines and the nose is similar.

I was always a fan of the water type starters

I dunno
Even if they were completely unbalanced

I mean, I never really played pokemon for hard core and stuff, I sucked. I just played for fun
