Whitebeard said that when the One Piece is found there will be a war that encompasses the entire world, so no, it isn't a concept.

its the oldest anime and had outlasted pretty much every other anime on the planet. Bleach is pretty much at the end for the manga and they probably arent doing anymore episodes cause the show had to have so many fillers because they ripped through the manga too fast. Idk about naruto but the shippuden series is almost done as well from the looks of it and that they're may be a 3rd thing for naruto as well. a lot of the other animes that were high caliber have already died off like dragon ball, inuyasha, gundam seed, and full metal alchimist.

I believe Gintama has more episodes than One Piece. I think One Piece is just over 200 and Gintama is closer to 300 than 200. I don't keep very close track though. I don't have tv anymore...

Oh, I haven't watched the One Piece anime since Skypeia (and I watched the Whitebeard vs Marines situation). I generally just read the mangas but it has been a while since I have done that either.

DBZ is getting a new movie this year. I ******* love that show, One Piece, as well. No matter what anyone says I will never like Bleach or Sailor Moon. But I like hearing people that like it, because their opinions interest me.

Yes, but Pokemon is pretty much a pile of crap now.
It has gotten to the point where I know longer see it as the first anime I ever fell in love with. It has the ability to be so much better. Developing characters and moving on from the same old Pokemon formula sounds easy enough, right? They need to either write something that excites both new and old audiences or stop before you lose them both.

What are you talking about, it has been going strong since like 1997 or so. They just got right passed the half way point. The english has stopped showing on tv but can be found on internet, japanese has being going on tv. english is on 300 (and sucks, the skip some stuff making it confusing) and japanese is on 580 (and is ******* amazing).

TL;DR Yes it is still on

I like the English Dubs better because I find it easier to become immersed in the story and go along with what is happening than just reading the dubs at the bottom of the screen.

everybody feels weird reading subs at first.

It's still an amazing series, and continues developing.
Just be ready to skip some parts, because as the demand for episodes continues, they get a bit lazy, so episodes sometimes have a ton of still-frames. But it's a great watch nonetheless.

I'm roughly 95% certain that that when everyone finally gets there, it's just going to be a photo album of his crew and his wife, or memoirs of all his adventures, and not actually worth anything. Remember, his exact words were "you will find it in One Piece." So either One Piece is a place, which is possible, or he's describing the state that it's in, i.e. it's intact.

I'm thinking it's just a legacy of who he was. It was valuable to him, but not to anyone else. And all the asshole pirates will be super-pissed and not understand, while guys like Luffy, Jinbei, and Whitebeard, if he had survived, would have gotten it, and understood what Roger was trying to do.

Basically, I don't think there is a treasure, specifically. I think the value is in the adventures Roger has inspired, and in the rebellion against the World Government that the New Era of Piracy has started. His great treasure is memories and freedom.

That "You will find it in One Piece" was just an approximation the translators made im pretty sure. In Japanese, the treasure is literally called One Piece or The One Piece.

Roger said it was "In that place"

Japanese Manga and anime really enjoy being vague as ****, "I left it in That Place", "It was That Guy"

No he wouldn't be upset in the least. The first thing he would say is "SET SAIL FOR THE 2ND PIECE!" Oh and the treasure in One Piece is supposed to be so large that even split into 1000 chests it would have a very worthwhile amount in each chest.
