There's no way a tower that tall would collapse the way it did. No building in Middle Earth ever fell so easily. Orthanc was overtaken by heavy flooding and sustained negligible damage, Minas Tirith sustained bombardment for hours and never came down, yet Barad-Dur completely collapses from a volcano miles away? It had to have been a controlled demolition. Barad-Dûr was an inside job.

Oh yeah, let's all forget that the ******* CN tower exists too. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE ACCEPT CANADA.

Big Ben is the bell on top of the clock tower.
The clock tower itself is known as Elizabeth Tower.
User avatar #185 to #174 - gladiuss (01/02/2013) [-]
The tower is NOW known as Queen Elizabeth Tower. Up till some dumb cunts in Parliament decided to name it after that twat, it WAS called Big Ben.
User avatar #191 to #185 - themongoose (01/02/2013) [-]
The name Big Ben is often used to describe the tower, the clock and the bell but the name was first given to the Great Bell.

The Elizabeth Tower (previously called the Clock Tower) was completed in 1859 and the Great Clock started on 31 May, with the Great Bell's strikes heard for the first time on 11 July and the quarter bells first chimed on 7 September.

taken from parliament . uk /bigben (and a piece from wiki)

The books are awesome. The Flood sucks balls since it was written by some ******* author and it's basically Halo: CE in book format, and the Forerunner saga is well, average, but the other books are awesome.

Anyway yeah, there was just 1 person in 1 of those ships guarding the Prophet's system. He was a friend of the Didact, and he was making sure the system was under quarantine since that was the punishment of the Prophets after they and the humans lost the war with the Forerunners.

User avatar #53 to #50 - spydermonkee (01/02/2013) [-]
don't know if you watched the movie or read the book, but...they had a giant ******* army, along with a giant ******* wall. all the way around mordor.
User avatar #51 to #50 - darthblam (01/02/2013) [-]
AND how the **** could you have a work force to build something that gigantic AND have a ******* huge army at the same time.
How the **** do you even feed that many people when all of your land is a ******* dead wasteland?
I call ******* hacks, Sauron went passed his food limit.
#102 to #51 - roadtodawn (01/02/2013) [-]
If I remember correctly from the books, Sauron's armies were kept in Gorgoroth near Barad-dur and Mount Doom which is why Aragorn and the others had to draw them to the Black Gate so Frodo and Sam could cross the plains to Mount Doom. But in Nurn, which was far enough away from Mount Doom to not be a complete wasteland, he actually had a **** ton of of slaves and evil men from east of Mordor that did nothing but produce food for his armies.
User avatar #90 to #51 - supersaiyajin (01/02/2013) [-]
Supposedly the southern regions of Morodr are more fertile and serve as farming and grazing lands for cows and **** , which then serve as food.
User avatar #82 to #51 - hubertinho (01/02/2013) [-]
