i'm not even sure what happened with the stabbing though, he was probably high as balls, so i'm not even sure if anything past dr. earnhardt was real.

I hate how the wiki says that was Vaas's official death.

The fact that vaas was using the ceremonial/ancient knife calls to question what was real and what was delusional about that scene. Jason could have already been experiencing mild hallucinations from the gas in the fire, and could have interpreted a syringe with the drug in it as the knife. Who knows

Jason was really the biggest problem I had with this game. Here you have the inexperienced annoying rich kid from California who manages to do something by himself that an entire clan of warriors couldn't do together. Also, I just hated his character.

I personally wished they put a bit more time in the transition between young inexperienced Jason to blood thirsty hero Jason. I felt that the transition was pushed to quickly and overall ruined his character. I mean within the first 2 hours of game play we went from him freaking out when his brother killed a guy to him cheering when he killed a group of men to save his girlfriend. Also he came off as a real dick after he kills Vaas, whether it was to push the idea that Jason shared a resemblance to Vaas, or not many scenes such as he leaving his friends behind really did nothing for character development and if anything demoralized his character in the process. It's really a shame what small things the game could have done, or not done to make Jason a great hero. Sorry for the book of a comment by the way.

I guess you haven't talked to the gang in the cave between missions, right?

They're optional, so you can miss them easily, but for example in one instance he's asking Daisy how she felt when winning... because he corelates that feel with killing

There are some small hints to his gradual degradation, but they're more or less optional.

I would rather go 1 on 1 with a shark than a guy with a gun.

If someone held me at gunpoint with every intention to kill me, i'd have much less of a chance against them than a shark.

actually sharks aren't as aggressive as people make them out to be, and humans would be considered as a pretty big animal compared to most fish, a shark would be hesitant to attack a "fish" which he doesnt know about and doesnt know how dangerous it can be, chances are if you act aggressive and spread your arms wide and blow bubbles it might go away

Well, guns are a lot less painful. Never been bit by a shark before, but guns have to hurt less.

So, I've been seeing many positive things about this game. My question is, do I need to play the first 2 to understand this one? Or can I just jump in?

After all I've seen I'd really like to play it.
