technically not actually vampires. They are infected with a bacteria that can't reproduce in the sunlight, which therefore kills them. Stakes work because the bactera being exposed to oxygen when it is in a dormant state makes them splode. The infected ones think they are vampires because the symptoms are rather close. That was me being a douchebag for the night, and having to correct someone about one of my favorite books. Sorry.

"-extreme sensitivity to light
-disease passed through blood
-maintains civilization/social structure
-increased speed, endurance, and mobility
-intellect maintained
-increased vision, hearing, and sense of smell

I'd say those are vampires, bro. Especially since they were referred to a couple times in the book as vampires."

This was just to quote a post down below to help point some **** out bro.

Zombieland doesn't seem that hard to survive in, the only evidence that we have that they're not easy to kill is the fact that there are so few people around, among them being a shut-in, a redneck, and very young two con-women.

Oh god that was a creepy ******* story.

But it raises a question for me:

If they are not only conscious, but fully aware of what they are doing and I assume who they are, why do they act in this intelligent, yet brutal fashion? It'd be one thing if they were aware, and thinking, but incoherent and insane, or just aggressive beyond reason, but they aren't. They're catcalls were clear indications that they were in control of their mental state, they knew what they were doing, and enjoyed it. What could possibly make it like that?

makes me think of the old movie 'Warning Sign'

some scientists spill a virus in their lab and they all die, but come back fully conscious and full of rage, and start tryng to kill or infect all the others in the facility

a couple of scientists from outside break in and invent a cure, and some of the infected run away afraid of being cured

I'd put them in the upper right, they were pretty fast and the whole point of the novel was to show that they had intelligence and that the character Will Smith plays (I can't remember his name) in the movie is the real monster for subjecting the infected to his experiments.

FJ's opinion on World War Z trailer? www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcwTxRuq-uk

Personally, I'm pissed that Brad Pitt is in it, because let's face it, the movie is gonna be about him and not the zombies. And also, they run. Max Brooks mentions their mobility a lot in the books and they quite clearly, in his universe, cannot run.

Pissed, they made it into another zombie movie where they run. It could have been like a fictional documentary where the author goes around interviewing people, and then it could go showing their stories and what they went through, with lots of narrative cut-scenes.

They should have kept to the book's style of telling the story through multiple perspectives too. If it was accurate to the book they would have an awesome movie that really stands out from every other zombie film.

Never read the book, but from what I hear it is completely unrelated to the book except for the name.

As far as movies go, I think it looks awful. The way the zombies congregate and move in mass looks so bad.
