You'd end up paying the same amount if you bought an equivalent PC with all of the professional grade programs. Your arguments are the equivalent to "I bought this great Ford Fusion because it's a great family car, why on earth would someone buy a Rolls Royce?" Just because you don't have the need for the programs doesn't mean the computer is bad...
User avatar #89 to #71 - silasdg (11/25/2012) [-]
That's true I would pay the same amount. Now tell me how many people actually use all of those professional grade programs on a mac to the extent that it's justifiable?

If I packaged a program with Windows like CAD that 90% of my actual users wont be using would it be justifiable to sell it for insanely high prices?

This would all be fine if most of the users buying Macs had legitimate purposes for these programs but they don't. Also Apple has no value listed for most of those pre-packaged programs so simply saying they're expensive isn't very supportive of your point.

Your argument is invalid.

>save up for a $2,200 MacBook
>buy a Razer Blade gaming laptop for $1,500
>Razer Blade has a quad-core processor and 2 video cards and 10 GB of RAM
>spend the rest on ******* and coke
#58 to #53 - silasdg (11/25/2012) [-]
Neither Razer Blade laptop is

A. $1,500
B. Equipped with dual graphics cards.
C. Equipped with 10GB RAM

On top of that the Quad Core Razer is $2,500

Still I prefer PC regardless.

It still is if you note the bottom left hand of the screenshot. (and my second comment) but it didn't have any of the specs suggested.
User avatar #59 to #58 - silasdg (11/25/2012) [-]
Edit: With promo code the Dual Core is $1,500

Still no where near the config suggested.

Actually, got a brand new laptop, for 700, and a badass 1968 vw bug for 800. Grand total for car and laptop, 1500. Grand total for a macbook? 2,200.

That's pretty cheap for a working car (I'm assuming it's in good condition?) you are pretty lucky.

Yeah, with a rebuilt engine and everything. It runs, and is it really good shape. No rust.

Well, there's this thing where you don't pay the entire price of the car at one time. It's called a down payment, followed by monthly payments until the car is completely paid for

dude i can say that i love my macbook much more than my PC i had before. And the reason i got it was for music production, so that only makes sense. But i agree if you want to do any gaming then a mac is a bad choice. I just record n browse n **** on this thing.
