That Lupin fact is interesting. I thought he was named that because Lupin sounds like lupus the Latin word for wolf, and he's a werewolf.

actually Lupin means "Wolf" and is the scientific name for the wolf family.

actually one of the flowers in that genus is called Wolfsbane

Am I the only one that thinks that Harry Potter started as "juvenile literature" but then became a really really complex (and awesome) book/story? I mean, I was totally ********** during the last books, how everything made perfect sense although there were millions of things and they just matched in the end...

im not sure if it's true or not but i was once told that the books started for children and were meant to progress as that generation aged, so it starts out basic and gets more complex as the target audience matures

In Norwegian, Remus Lupin is "Remus Lupus", where Canis Lupus means wolf.
