HITLER killed millions of Jews.
STALIN killed millions of his own citizens.
BUSH is responsible for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
STEVE JOBS made all the Apple products and ads.

they all said yes to the idea
just like obama
your argument is ******** and your examples are way more extreme
ps there was a post regarding this on the front page a little while back
come up with your own arguments faggot, and if you are going to use an example use logical ones
#356 to #354 - nesselan (11/16/2012) [-]
No..... His answer is logical dumb ass.

When people think of Hitler, they say... "Oh, he's the guy who killed million of Jews". People don't think..."Oh, he's the guy who told people who told people to kill Jews".

Same thing can be said for Stalin, Bush, and Steve Jobs.

So technically, Hitler isn't that bad of a guy because he only said "Yes". Then why are we complaining about him? Lets change the texts books and say the Soldiers are the ones who did everything >:|
#400 to #356 - anon (11/16/2012) [-]
All that means is everyone is wrong when they say Hitler killed Jews, Stalin killed his own citizens, and the others

But Hitler is the bad guy, he started the executions, just not the main person to blame because he did not do them all. It was the people who executed the Jews. In the monkey's case, people cannot say he killed Bin Laden. If they need something to make him look good, they can say they gave the order, along with Hitler, Stalin, Bush and Jobs.

hitler gets blamed for killing 6,000,000 jews, Obama gets credit for killing bin laden...its not like the seals were gonna find him on their own
#324 to #318 - anon (11/16/2012) [-]
You act as if the Seal's act on their own and don't need the President's Permission to act in a country we shouldn't be i--OH WAIT THEY DO.
#345 to #324 - anon (11/16/2012) [-]
the navy and their commanders do all the work.

obama says 'sure go ahead and do that' or 'no i dont think we should do that'

other than that decision "yes or no"

#313 - anon (11/16/2012) [-]
Apparently if I say that Obama really was responsible, then I will get read thumbs. If I say that Obama had nothing to do with Bin Laden's death and the credit goes entirely to the SEALs, then I will get green thumbs. Hmm....

What if I say that we live in a world that isn't black and white and not all questions can be answered with "yes" or "no"? What if I point out that Bin Laden would still be alive if not for the SEALs, but the SEALs would not have gone in if Obama didn't authorize it? But then what if other factors came into play which lead to a successful mission?

Will I get 0 thumbs if I say this? Or will people taking a side vote me down and give me double red thumbs? Let us find out.
#314 to #313 - nosankyu (11/16/2012) [-]
Personally I still don't feel Obama deserves any real credit for it, because even though he gave the order, pressed the button, etc, it was basically a formality. Given Bin Laden's position on the Most-Wanted list, what President WOULDN'T give the go-ahead? That's just me though.
User avatar #319 to #314 - gatodelfuego (11/16/2012) [-]
It was slightly different in Obama's case, because the military didn't want to send in a SEAL team, they wanted to bomb it with high-altitude stealth aircraft or hit it with a cruise missile. However, they couldn't tell if there was a bunker in the house, so using a more powerful explosive would have lead to collateral damage. Then, the president decided that they shouldn't do that at all, and send in an extraction team, to hopefully capture Bin Laden and reveal information. Without Obama's imput, it would have been just like the time we had info on where Saddam Hussein was hiding and bombed that place like no tommorow--but didn't get confirmation.

Also, if people seem to blame him for everything that happens under his kim jongistration, even if he didn't specifically decide to do it, I don't see how he can't be credited for killing bin ladin IF it happened under his kim jongistration. But come on, we all know Obama didn't personally go and kill Bin Ladin.
User avatar #298 - reaperssprint (11/16/2012) [-]
I don't know what's worse, the fact that people are actually upset by it saying Obama killed Bin Laden (which he didn't, red thumbs beware, however I really don't care if you don't agree ) or people being hypocritical and telling people to stop getting so upset about the joke while they themselves get upset about someone's opinion.
User avatar #301 to #298 - fourtwentt (11/16/2012) [-]
it happened on his watch regardless if the intel was found 7 years ago, if something bad wouldve happened as the result of the last guy, it would still fall on him...

although not everyone feels that way, thats basically his job
#296 - practicalproblems (11/16/2012) [-]
President Obama didn't exactly kill Osama, but he was the one with the balls to tell our guys to go into Pakistan without first alerting them. As far as I'm concerned, he did just as big of a part as the guys who went in.
