I still remember a show where they were performing a life saving surgery on a guinea pig. They asked the father about the cost it, he said 400 dollar, then they asked how much was the guinea pig. His response: "25 dollar but the kids love him."

>be 9 yrs old, chubby and no friends (kids are mean)
>1 month before b-day get a dog to call my own, name her taco
>middle school no friends (low self-esteem)
>Taco always made feel no so alone in this world
>highschool serious health problems missed alot of school (she never left my side)
>college, spendt many hours alone in my room working on projects (taco always in my lap)

>graduate college, go on well deserved trip to LA
>unforutnaley couldn't take taco on trip feelsbadman.jpeg
> 2 days before arriving back home she dies, I guessing her heart gave out.

14 years of having her little warm body sleep next to me. been a little over 2 weeks still have crying bout from time to time. I knew she wasn't going to live forever but dammit it still hurts though.

Without during my childhood i probably would have killed myself a long time ago. In the end that little dog did save my life.

sorry for long post. :(

I never got to see my dog before he got his head ran over. But now thinking that he might have wanted to makes me very sad. Feels all around.

Miss you Bailey...you stubborn little ****... :(

It's not necrophilia if they're still warm.

Seriously though, that was some sad **** right there. I just wanted to lighten the mood.

>be me
>people look up to me, I have a family, things going well
>get a dog, train it for hunting and **** while it was a puppy so it'd be a badass
>mid-training I was called on to be drafted in the ongoing war at the time
>have to say goodbye to family, my wife (Helen) knew I wouldn't be back for a while
>say goodbye to dog, hoped I got to see him again
>was in war for ten years, finally got to sail home
>men on ship needed food, stopped on island
>one-eyed tard threatens to eat us all so I stab his only eye so he cant sea
>said that his father would "curse me"
>from then on I had to deal with a **** ton of obstacles in the journey home
>the only one left out of all my crew, finally wash ashore my home
>no one recognizes me, wife is still faithful although the men in the city are like vultures
>see my dog who's still alive
>never thought I'd see him again, immediate feels
>dog whimpers, staggers to me, wags his tail, then dies
>dog waited for me all these years to say goodbye to his master
>hoped he lived a good life

>mfw I'm odysseus and massacre all of my wife's suitors

When I was in the 1st grade, my mom brought home a cat in a box. I was hoping it was a kitten, but it was a kitten/cat (You know, that weird stage where kittens start to get long legs and such.)

He was distant. Didn't like too much company and hated everyone. Sure I mauled the **** out of that cat because I loved him. He eventually just grew to accepting it and would eventually purr at me and I would kiss him on top of the head.

I eventually went to college and my twin sister moved away and then he hated everyone. He clawed and meowed until I came home. The first night I came home from college, he slept in my lap and I didn't realize how ignored he had been since my sister and I had left him.

I've had him for 13 years. He just passed away today. He was my best friend and was here for me when no one else was. We played Zelda together and we ate spaghetti together. Then I get a text from my mom saying he went through respiratory failure, and had to be put down.

I would do it all over again. He was a bastard, but he was my bastard.
