except that criminals do not obey the law and would just steal bullets or make them, or whatever....you can't just tax something out of existence.
BTW, Chris Rock is a racist (anti-white).
I, for one, look forward to the next civil war.

People would just import from other countries or illegally make them in other countries and sell them on the black market. It would probably increase crime rates tbh.

I'm willing to guess a black guy who grew up in a ghetto would have the right connections to get a gun.

I can make my own bullets, but instead of shooting people, I would just wait outside of the divorce courts and sell bullets.... profit!

People could just use knives.

Increase cost of supplies to make shells

On 1000 ways to die, the magician died because the tip of the his wand went into the gun. Shot out and killed him. I'd gladly use plastic bullets than pay thousands for actual shells.
User avatar #248 to #110 - trojanmannn (09/23/2012) [-]
I'm sure 1000 ways to die is extremely credible
#32 - vod (09/22/2012) [-]
At that cost, people would just start making their own bullets...

Raise the prise of gunpowder 5000$/ounce

Therefore making your own bullets is as expensive as regular ones.

They do all the time.
User avatar #36 to #32 - heartlessrobot (09/22/2012) [-]
Many already do.
#27 - anonymous (09/22/2012) [-]
I too have been making my own rounds since I can remember. You can make your own for far less that $5. Unless you plan to buy all the equipment to make just one bullet ;-)
Some city folk just don't have a clue what is and is not possible. You can, if you bother to learn, make every single component from scratch yourself for anything man made.
What one human can build, so can any. Excluding "civilized ******* city" people.

there are parts missing. eg. "they shot $50,000 worth a' bullets in his ass, he musta' done somethin'"
#23 - qwermy (09/22/2012) [-]
If I had a five dollars for every time I heard or saw this sketch, I'd probably have enough to buy myself a new gun. Not a $5000 bullet, though.

It would also stop all wars.
User avatar #29 to #14 - mykoira (09/22/2012) [-]
why is this thumbed down.
other reason it's obvious
User avatar #30 to #29 - SniperKitty (09/22/2012) [-]
It's thumbed down because no matter how much a bullet costs that won't stop our wars. They will just cut education, public safety, and other things we use and need more than war to fund it....

We spent 40 billion to go to war, and this new vet bill that just failed was going to cost only 1 billion and it was going to help our vets who fought that 40 billion dollar war get jobs when they got back. We care too much about war, price of bullets goes up, we still go to war, we just cut back on a lot more things. Too much money to be made by a handful of people to stop the wars.
User avatar #128 to #30 - awesomenessdefined (09/22/2012) [-]
Ha, you really over estimate what the US will go to for war.
User avatar #11 - sailorsmooth (09/22/2012) [-]

$5000 is too much for some brass, lead, and phosphorus. I'd say about $500 is enough

Guns are for pussies!

Fight with what you got, if you gotta fight at all.
