**** Battlefield 3 for the PC. There's only two ******* game lobbies ever populated without having the "Premium Pack," and that's $50--when I paid $40 for the game itself.

Waste of ******* money, EA. I hardly even enjoy the game you farted out.

Also, if this is a comment on Mass Effect 3, I bought the DLC and it was... worth it. To an extent. It was fun and insightful, being able to talk to a Prothean, but he as a character blew in my opinion, and I just stuck with good old Garrus and whoever else I was feeling like taking that day.

It's a Call of Duty with larger maps. Maps that, quite frankly, are too big for people like me who don't like to use vehicles.

The "classes" aren't really classes, not like TF2, and they only serve purposes of health/ammo whoring. Engineers may be the only viable class to be called a "class."

Also, why the **** does an opposite faction's gun only have two fire rates, the two I don't use? If I have an M16 as a Russian, why can't I full auto? Why, DICE, WHY?!
#210 to #60 - anon
Reply 0
(09/07/2012) [-]
Neither faction has full auto on the m16a3 but there is a point in every classes' unlock tree where you unlock the other faction starting weapon which for the american forces is the m16a4 which does have full auto. Regarding Battlefield 3, I believe it was released a bit to quickly and needed a little polish but was an excellent game, until that create your own server patch (console player, not sure if PC players already had player run servers) and close quaters dlc. After the server patch it was impossible to find a game without 500% tickets or some other ********. The close quaters dlc was a ridiculous ploy to attract a bigger player base, which it did, and now servers are filled with people who only play recon, ignoring the objective, trying to quickscope like it's ******* call of duty: battlefield edition. Although there are times where battlefield 3 shines through all of the ******** and gives me the best first person shooting expierence I have felt in years. Dice made a beautiful game and EA continues to squeeze it dry of all the money it can produce until its left completely dry, a relic to what could have been.

Hear, hear!

Battlefield 3 is a great game for what it is, but EA really does suck the life out of it. If only DICE could get behind a publisher with enough bank to sustain them.

And thanks for pointing out the version of the M16a. I didn't realize it was the a3, not the a4. I still think it's ********, HARUMPH.

... what? It had dedicated servers no matter what.

Try Battlefield 3 for the PC. There are literally two maps, each with their own game type, that you can play; and it's all thanks to no dedicated servers, just player-owned ones.

In other words, the game choices are awful. Unless, of course, I splurge $50 and get the "Premium pack." Waste of $40, that game.

It does? I could have sworn it didn't, the usual servers were pretty bad. Maybe I've been misinformed.

But anyway, I never liked Battlefield to begin with, nor am I a PC gamer.

I also hear the campaign was less than incredible.

Less than incredible is an overstatement. Man, it was Black Ops all over again, but with a modern twist. At least it looked good, for the most part. I thought the hands on the guns looked a bit goofy.

And yeah, dedicated servers means there's always a map to play on, and it's usually "ran" by the company. If there weren't, you'd be choosing a paltry amount of games from an open lobby, and quite frankly, **** that.

Also, Gears of War 3 was one of my favorite competitive shooters of all time. God I miss my Xbox. D'x

1. Don't ******* greentext, this isn't 4chan. You give them a bad name.
2. The campaign is, I don't know, a huge chunk of the game? Let alone half of it. If it didn't matter, don't waste money and time on it, and released the game for not $60.
3. As for not having a job, I don't have a job I work a lot. I'm in college, studying for the my second year on track for journalism, and with the chaos that ensues in all of my projects, I only have time to work a couple days every three week--all thanks to my work allowing me to stay on the schedule for future breaks.
4. Player servers are an idea as older than Halo 1 for the PC, and it hardly worked then. Except that back then, Halo was a wildly popular game across all platforms, even moreso than Battlefield 3. Now, with all the preferences, and "such-and-such vs. such-and-such," it tries incredibly hard to be something that it's not. Tactics are out of the window, in favor of good ol' fashion twitch shooting.
5. Granted, if I could work more often, it wouldn't be a problem. But seeing as I'm a, you know, gamer, I play a ******* of games, across all platforms, genres, lengths, generations, you name it. Right now, I'm setting up my budget for: Borderlands 2, Mists of Pandaria, Guild Wars 2, Dishonored, Resident Evil 6, Black Ops II, and Halo 4. Not to mention my girlfriend of two years. Gotta take her out on some dates.

Sit down, kid. You're making people look bad.

1. The story is pretty much unrelated to the previous games.
2. The complaint was not just price but the fact that they try and act like a basic part of the game as an extra. Also the previous battlefields didn't have this ******** their dlc was simply map packs.
3. Battlefields player servers suck ass, they are laggy and have connection problems. Personally why I no longer play this game.

(09/07/2012) [-]
well i was unaware of the story, i came in a badco 1s release into the BF world, and ps3 servers arent as laggy as PC's I see the new dlc as map packs.
Close quarters in its own is a **** game mode/dlc.
Armored kill just throws in new maps and vehicles that best complement those maps.
I really see no difference between Badco2 and bf5other that they changes destruction to 1.8 from 2.0. Also the fact they didnt help the BF vets at all
But im rambling. PC may have better graphics mate but that means nothing when consoles have better server connections.
(Also if you give a ratsass we do have dedicated AND player servers)

After I bought RE: operation racoon city I felt like capcom raped my wallet harder than a 7ft tall black bodybuilder with a dick that touches his toes. To summarize, they made the ******** port ever and they still have yet to update it AND IT WAS RELEASED MONTHS AGO. The combat system is %95 broken you can't even melee someone most of the time as they will either not get hit a third of the time or their hit animation will delay for about 3 seconds giving them more than enough time to melee back also most of the guns are incredible underpowered taking multiple clips to kill except the GL which is an instakill . HOLY ******* **** I HATE CAPCOM FOR RELEASING THIS PIECE OF **** I WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO BUY FOR $50.

From what I have seen this game looks like a polished Xbox game. I was planning on buying it until I saw a multitude of reviews and a playthrough of it. Sleeping Dogs is filled with slowdown, **** story arcs, and other piss that kept me from getting it. If you are looking for a open world GTA-ish game, I suggest Saints Row 2 out of the fun aspect.

Not on pc, SR2 is god awful on pc because it will run at around 3 to 4 times speed if you have a good computer. And the frame rate managing applications tend to crash it at cut scenes. Another case of a great console game with a ****** PC port.

I like it. If you don't like GTA IV. You won't like this one, but it has a better fighting mechanic that was taken from Batman Arkham City.

It's a good, enjoyable romp but nothing too special.

The last four episodes were released as DLC labeled "The True Ending to Asura's Wrath". So, what, we spent $59.99 on an incomplete game and now you want us to spend $9.99 MORE for the content that SHOULD have been on the disc to begin with?

release day dlc is not fine it is selling you an incomplete game
basicly if the content is made before release it should be part of the game you buy

release day dlc is fine, you do know there is a fairly large period of time when consoles test the game you made that they can use as extra dlc, it's like asking for a hamburger at mcdonalds and then when you ask for cheese on it, they say it's extra and you reply with
omg but the cheese is right there, it was made at the same time and if its in the same kitchen it should be free

true, but it is a good example for bad dlc, vs dlc's that are say extra skins or extra cars for just cause 2, the simple stuff.

I think most people are being nostalgic about the times when we got expansion packs instead of dlc, forgetting that expansion packs came at close to the same price as the original game.

the art team is generaly done way before release but the guys coding are at their busiest as the relese date nears so unless its something that does not require any real coding eg a copypasta of a wepon but with a fancy texture the relese date dlc is taking away from the game you bought becaue it is draining resourses from it

yeah the team is done before the release, so some companies use that time to bring everyone in to make dlc

it still goes back to my mcdonalds argument you shouldn't make cheese, it just takes resources away from the beef

from your pov the producer puts in the extra resourses to add a bit extra for those who are willing to pay a litte more
