These movies are some of my favorites. You can't take them as serious movies because they're not supposed to be. Just enjoy it. Don't hate.

For some reason the phrase "age is not an excuse" would have sounded much better in my head without the 3 exclamation points.

They're all ex-boxers and martial artists and **** , so most of the pnuching and stuff they do it about as real as it can get in a movie, it's also got some funny parts and a d'ahww moment, especially if you've been a fan of most of/all the actors work in the past.

Pretty sure you were getting thumbed down by the way you speak to people, like you act as if your opinion is right no matter what, but that's fine, /b/ probably suits you.

Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born March 10, 1940)[1] is an American martial artist and actor. After serving in the United States Air Force, he began his rise to fame as a martial artist, and has since founded his own school, Chun Kuk Do.
Norris appeared in a number of action films, such as Way of the Dragon in which he starred alongside Bruce Lee, and was The Cannon Group's leading star in the 1980s.[2][3] He next played the starring role in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger from 1993 to 2001.
Norris is a devout Christian and politically conservative. He has written several books on Christianity and donated to a number of Republican candidates and causes. In 2007 and 2008, he campaigned for former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who was running for the Republican nomination for President in 2008.[4] Norris also writes a column for the conservative website WorldNetDaily.[5]
As a result of his "tough guy" image, an Internet phenomenon began in 2005 known as Chuck Norris facts, ascribing various implausible or even impossible feats to Norris.

Plotwise? Yeah. But I really don't think it was about that. I think it was more about just putting as much explosions and shooting into a movie as they could.
User avatar #165 to #155 - noblexfenrir (09/06/2012) [-]
It was supposed to be....it was meant to be a recreation or maybe it's better put as the final end all be all 80's action flick, it is supposed to be corny, ridiculous, stupid, and mainly watched for the badass ******* action.

I love the Expendables movies because they didn't really change anything about the genre, they left it intact for everyone who loves these actors.

Chuck Norris openly admitted to saying that he is anti-gay marriage...

I'm pretty sure that bandwagon is well-placed now
User avatar #378 to #284 - about (09/06/2012) [-]
So? There are a lot of homophobic people out there in the world. Just because he is a well known celebrity with a reputation you must tarnish it and no longer like him?

There are a lot of racists out there too but nobody gives a flying **** about them. People have a lot of double standards about this gay marriage thing.

what? i havent really liked him as a person for a while. What bandwagon are you talking about?
User avatar #237 to #234 - about (09/06/2012) [-]
Well I take back my statement and apologize; Sorry.

It is starting to trend on FJ now, any content about him recently is full of comments of why he is a dick etc.

I couldn't care if he is a homophobic, I just like him for the fact he is entertaining. What he does off the movies is none of my concern really.
User avatar #254 to #237 - theelderscrolls (09/06/2012) [-]
same here. i like him as an actor. his older movies i enjoy.

i just dint like him as a person. I also dont understand why people idolize him. Bruce Lee was wayyyyyyy better.
User avatar #262 to #254 - about (09/06/2012) [-]
Well he was only jokingly seen as a God like figurehead in the early 21st Century, and half the people that like the jokes havn't even seen his stuff. But those were the early days of the internet.

Had Bruce Lee not died however, maybe it would have been different.
User avatar #265 to #262 - theelderscrolls (09/06/2012) [-]
well he didnt really die. he was just to good for us and left. the only reason we make jokes about Chuck is because Bruce Lee is no joke.

#192 to #167 - acvirtutis (09/06/2012) [-]
How is he a bigot? Can you show me an article or a video?
