As a person from Belgium who's met quite a few people from a quite a few other countries, I can honestly say, I think most countries don't know **** about good beer.

Most American beers probably taste better with lemonade in them.

ah, belgium, my favorite country to drink from. i guess i'm lucky to have a bar near me that prides itself on serving beer from around the world (40 on tap, changing semi regularly, and 500 in bottles) and they have a "passport" that you can keep track of your progress. I've never repeated a beer and I'm almost done with belgium, it makes me a little sad

Nice match up, if you can get your hands on these though:
Westmalle/Chimay/Westvleteren/Rochefort Trappists
Cuvee Des Trolls
L'Achouffe

All great Belgians too.

(I mostly drink Guiness though)

probably mean achel, the book just says archel. and I was going to try chimay, but they were out of chimay glasses when i got there (they sometimes give away promotional glasses when they get a new keg or cask) and it made me too sad to order one.

Now if you've got a good pint, you might wanna try adding coke.

This makes what we in Belgium call 'mazout', which is a dialect word for Diesel.

I don't know about that.

I thinking mixing in coke would kinda defeat the purpose

Lighter.

they make quite a few lemon based beers, and of the ones i've tried, they're really good. just don't expect anything spectacular out of mixing lemonade with crappy beer, but it makes it okay

i've had a lemon beer before, like the premixed in the bottle kind. it might be because of how little lemon flavor there was but it just tasted watered down and gross.

I'm a big fan of citrus so I'm probably biased. I'm waiting for my lemon wheat ale to finish bottle conditioning in a week, I hope it turns out like last year's batch. It blew the store bought stuff out of the water
