Assuming he used MC Edit, he could have banged it out in a couple hours. All the symmetrical parts could be copy/pasted once you've got one part done.

It doesn't really take much time to create something like this, it just depends on how fast you are when doing so. The more experienced you are, the faster you work. Working with great details such as this requires a lot of time for average people, but for people who have played minecraft since classic or at least inf dev by now, you know how to build quickly (hopefully). And as it is creative (seems like so), it will be even faster than gathering everything like people used to do before, hence it Then may take a lot of time.

Not trying to argue, but unless you have world edit, it takes a fair amount of time to assemble it. Have you ever tryed just building a 10 block tall pyramid (not hollow), it takes a while. So while I agree that if you know what you are doing, it is faster, it might still take up a few hours.

I Have built pyramids before, and yes, in inf dev and alpha, even with friends on servers at that time (slow servers to be honest.. wasn't really stable at that time), and it takes A LOT of time, but the more time you put into something, the more it's worth to you. Now you can just import buildings and constructions with simple plugins. Building isn't so fun anymore when you use tools to help you out really. Ok, creative mode is good for many reasons, but like, that's it. Do you see people using "tools" to help them build lego in real life for example? No (may be yes, but they are fools), because they create things from scratch and put their time and effort into building it so it's worth enjoying. Would you buy a finished lego product or one you have to assemble yourself? Would you be proud of saying "I made this" after you've made a pyramid with the help of plugins or would you be more proud of saying so when you've done it from scratch without the help of any tools?
