I believe Pawn Stars is semi-fake. By semi-fake, I mean that the items are real, but the interactions are not. Think about it. Do you think that Rick would know EVERYTHING he knows about every item that comes into his store, including the year and history? Hey, maybe he does, maybe he has a very good memory and mybe he does bone-up on his history, but I don't think so. I think before each shot of a sale between Rick and the customer, they ask the customer if they would like to be a part of the Pawn Stars show if their item is interesting enough. If the customer agrees, they tell him/her to wait until they have researched info on the item. If they find the info, they give it to Rick to memorize and recite until he feels comfortable enough to do the recorded shot. If they don't find the info, or they don't find accurate or enough info on the item, they tell Rick to "call in a buddy" during the recording. That is my theory. I mean, come on, if you are an owner of a pawn shop THAT busy, do you think you would have time to read up on the history of pretty much everything and remember it? Like I said, this is my OPINION and I believe Pawn Stars is semi-fake. Good Day.

All they do is make rip people off on this show, they double and triple their initial their investment most of the time. I wouldn't be surprised they bribed the so called "experts" so tell the owner of the item that it is worth less than it actually is. Thee people bringing in stuff would probably get a lot more money if they just put their item up on ebay, or in an auction. I think that the people from Cajun pawn stars pay fairer prices.

Pawn Stars is all scripted. You can still buy and sell stuff at the place, but for the show, they grab certain people, give them an item or two, and say, "ask this much for it and have this story with it."

cray isn't short for crazy, or even how you spell it, it's "kray" and it means resembling two old crime lords.
