One of the biggest things about this is Professor Oak in the original games never asked gender because you were always a boy. Professor Elm on the other hand in crystal version did.

Most people, though, think of Firered and Leafgreen, when Oak did ask you about gender.

Team Rocket, I think, represents human trafficking but in a Pokemon 'version' of it. For example:

Human Traffickers traffic good looking people, Team Rocket traffics good looking/rare Pokemon.

Is this making sense?

Also Human Traffickers take the abandoned and unloved kids of the Streets (Mostly the Thai streets) and forces them into work for fake love and attraction and Team Rocket takes the abandoned and unloved Pokemon and forces them into work for fake love and attraction
