Gay right supporters are protesting Chick-fil-a because the CEO doesn't agree with every little thing they say

Actually, Chick-fil-A has donated millions of dollars ($1.9 million in 2010 and $3 million from 2003 to 2009) through their WinShape foundation in support of anti-gay groups and agendas. It's not about anyone's personal feelings on the matter, it's that they're actively making an effort to limit gay rights.

"Anti-gay" and "gay rights" is just idiot talk. Anyone who doesn't agree with their agenda they label as "Anti-gay" and against "gay rights". It's just stupid, and anyone who uses those labels to support their argument is an idiot.

I'm totally in favor of gay marriage
But you have to remember that this is a private business, unless they are refusing to serve gay customers then there is no problem here.
You have a right to your opinion, they have a right to theirs.

They DO server gay people though. And they don't even care what sexual orientation you are when you apply there. I've applied and interviewed at a local chick-fil-a and no where on the application did it say "What is your sexual orientation, Gay, Straight, or Bisexual?"
Not even at the interview did they ask.

they've more than refused to serve gay people, they've spent, what? three mil or five mil i can't remember to make sure gays don't have any rights at all meaning they can get arrested for just being gay they can't adopt they can get their kids taken away if they have any adopted or if they have had kids in previous relationships they can get custody taken away and to make sure gays can't even own property

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say everyone is allowed to adopt kids, and Chik-Fil-A doesn't donate to groups that try to take away the right for homosexuals to own property. That's just ridiculous.

Honestly, i know this is the wrong place to have an open debate on the subject.. .. Speaking as a Lesbian, there IS bigger issues in our country besides this. I am offended by how people will publicly announce their hate to another American, but also I know this is America, and freedom of speech goes both ways.... other then that, I had ********** once at my wifes moms house and it gave me flap-gas ... hate it....

Closed because they don't have any business, or closed because they've run out of food. I've only heard of the latter happening.

Im gay and I don't think its that big of a deal. Honestly, not every one will think like us, if he doesn't like gay men, thats his problem, and its NOT our job to try to force him to do anything.

The owner of Chick-fil-a was interviewed. The subject of gay marriage popped up and he said he believed in the traditional definition of marriage and families. He has also donated money to organizations opposing gay marriage. That's it.

The fact that this made front page gives me confidence in the FJ community and humanity overall. Apparently FJ still supports the right of free speech and expression under all the raging religion bashing atheists. Btw, if you're an atheist but aren't like them, hats off to you. Together, our lack of bitching at each other could make the world a better place.

People shouldn't give a **** what that company backs up even if it's not what they believe it. You're there to buy good food , not debate gay rights.

Just because he is a bigot doesn't mean he's a bad person.
Very kind of him; however, he's doing it for political power over these people. He knows that drinking from their logo would be bad for their protest. He should have given them lemonade with white cups instead of forcing them to consider dehydration to humiliation. :/
Just saying.

I don't agree with what he's doing either, but he's trying to be what he considers a good person. Plus, it's not like Chick-Fil-A makes laws anyway, so let's let them have their opinion.
