Correction: Today's *Rap* music.

Rap is just one genre. It doesn't define all of today's music.

And stop ******* saying today's music sucks. You bastards just aren't looking hard enough. You're only paying attention to the **** that gets played on the radio.

Hip hop is not these ****** you see with there candy coated rhymes running around on stage its an art form used to convey your felling just like any other form of music. Difference is the music industry has been controlling the way it goes since it hit the mainstream in the 70s. Now its not about coming up with impressive flows or beats but instead how many people you can please and men you can sleep with to get popular.

Actual Hip-Hop: /watch?v=bCSMlsBEQLg

Hey Funnyjunk, I know that most of you do indeed hate rap music, but I see no reason as to why we have to put it down every chance we get. And there may even be a few people who like Wayne or T Pain. Some people make the argument that their lyrics are trash, but there are several Songs by Wayne with actual meaning to them, and the only reason you might not be able to hear them is because he has to muddle his words because it makes his albums sell. Personally I'm not a huge fan of rap, since the lifestyle does not necessarily apply to me, but I don't see why we have to attack rap at every turn.

P.s. That sit looks fun.

I like rap music.

Lil Wayne and T-Pain aren't rap artists in my opinion. They're black, so they can fart in a can and label it as rap so long as their record company promotes it as such, and it' what is happening currently in rap

night trying to hate on you but, he is just straight up gargbage. the only reason AT ALL lil faggot is in the music business is because his dad is birdman. lil faggot talks about all the **** he's ever done but the truth is he grew up in a rich neighborhood in a good place and his dad told him how to get money with no talent AT ALL. that is all that lil faggot is

I bet none of the people who thumbed this post up have ever listened to any of Lil Wayne's old mixtapes. They are actually really good and the same goes for Drake. Im not saying Lil Wayne is the best rapper or anything but he is talented and you cannont deny that. He is good with metaphors and he used to have some great lyrics and I will admit most of his new songs are trash. So before you judge Lil Wayne download some of his mixtapes and actually hate rappers like Soulja Boy and Roscoe Dash who just rely on catchy beats. I also dont want to hear that Tupac and Biggie rapped about only deep and spiritual **** because they rapped some songs just like the rappers of today do. Ex: Party and Bull **** by Biggie

See the problem is, in today's world (mostly the US) People have a mentality to become famous, and stay famous, even if it means to completely change and follow the trends because they don't want their 15 minutes to end. I will say his old old stuff, is decent, same can be said about Eminem or a lot of rappers and or musicians who have sold out to stay in the spotlight
User avatar #54 to #43 - chaoticshrooms (08/01/2012) [-]
I agree with 90% of your statement; Marshall Bruce Mathers III is anything but a sell out.
User avatar #57 to #54 - zraxx (08/01/2012) [-]
In the old days I would a hundred% agree with that, but hear lately he seems to be more flaky. I mean he has some good songs on his later albums but it just seems like he flaked out from what he started with. But he is good don't get me wrong
