That actually happened to a guy who owned a giant gold mine. There was nothing in it after 20 years of digging, so he sold it, and then a ******** gold rush happened to the buyers.

This reminds me of what I do on servers of mine. I go into someone's house and find where they mine at. Once I find it, as OP I place iron ore's in place's with lava behind it.

I thought he was going to be smart enough to stop mining down there. But he died.

i need hundreds of coal for my buildings because i smelt cobblestone into stone blocks, then craft them into stone bricks. it looks better, and if i have to brake one because of a mistake, it doesn't turn back into cobble stone. stays a stone brick :3

Have you considered a bucket of lava? Good for 100 crafts so I use it to smelt my cobblestone.

You don't get your bucket back though

the not getting the bucket back is why i stopped. that and the fire is wasted if you leave it unattended and forget to add new bricks and remove the finished ones. when im just sitting around my base anyway i do that though.

I've been doing that. I found a neat little lake with a U shaped mountain. I build a wall around it. It's too damn small though. I have no room for a blacksmith area and and farm. I facepalmed so hard.

That's why you always leave a spot open in your hotbar right next to your pick, with a **** material like dirt or cobble, so that if you hit a lava pool, you can instantly plug it up without dying, dood
