I think they didn't feel the need to mention it because they just figured people wouldn't do it... Frankly I'm more concerned when people actually have to say "you're not allowed to do that" for situations like this.

This is very incorrect, lots of states have laws against sodomy. If I recall correctly every position other than missionary is illegal in North Carolina.

Actually, you're incorrect.
Most, if not all states, that had a law against sodomy have been repealed one way or another, the most remaining states that retained theirs were repealed due to the recent Lawrence v. Texas

^ This. A thousand times this.

I don't think we've even ever had any laws that made sodomy illegal.
But in places like Britain they did. Hell, look at Alan Turing.

Not to mention the fact that it's only legal because it doesn't need to be illegal. Because you know... people don't just go around ******* horses. It's like saying it's legal in all 50 states to have sex with a rhino, because it doesn't say anywhere that it's illegal. I like you sir. I'm not even against gay marriage, this is just a stupid post

I'm ready for the red thumbs but civil marriage is legal in all american states, which has all the same rights as a church marriage. The fight for gay marriage seems to be more to try and force the church to do something which is against their religion. If I'm missing something tell me but I don't really see the point in legalising gay marriage.

Well first-off, they aren't legal in all states.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_union_in_the_United_States

And here's a more in-detail version. It's old and the guy only relates it to California, but you can apply the concepts pretty much anywhere. The facts start about a minute in.

Civil Unions you mean and no they aren't in all states only like 6, they don't give the same rights as marriage not even close, and other states don't recognize a different state's Civil Union like they do marriage.

I don't know much about america but in scotland they are caalled civil marriages and they have the same rights as a church marriage yet there are still fights to try and legalize gay church marriage. Can you give me an example of a right that gay married couples dont have in america that straight ones do?

Couples who have a civil union will not have any of the protections or responsibilities federal law provides to married couples. These include social security survivors’ and spousal benefits, federal veterans’ spousal benefits, immigration rights associated with marriage, federal spousal employment benefits, the right to file joint federal tax returns, exemptions from income tax on your partner’s health benefits, the federal exemption from inheritance tax, and many other federal protections which are denied same-sex couples whether legally joined in a civil union or a civil marriage.

Also, most other states will not recognize the legal status of your civil union, even though they would recognize the Illinois marriage of a different-sex couple. This means that when you travel or if you move to another state or country, your union may not be recognized.

It's something that a lot of people don't understand, the nature of anthropomorphism.

Even disney himself said cartoon characters, such as mickey and donald, can never be truly considered as actual animals.

Just a thought.
