ITT: Shows that you know you should watch or finish watching but you just don't have the energy to.

Mr. Robot.
Falling Skies
The Man in the High Tower or Castle or whatever that shit is Nazi French Fry Land.
Superman the Animated series (just too scared that it will suck)

I forced myself to watch Fargo recently, glad I did. Feel like I should do so again with one of these shows.

What shows specifically? Generally just stating the year means Fall scheduling. Or spring if its the first season.

James Cameron will save us from Star Wars

"Variety reports that Academy Award winner James Cameron isn't backing down from Disney Lucasfilms Star Wars Episode VIII —– The report comes just a day after Disney had announced they pushed back Episode VIII an entire 7 months into the Christmas season of 2017. Cameron stated "I understand people are seeing a game of chicken between Avatar and Star Wars, with Avatar being the one pressured to move. I've dealt with a plethora doubters when working on Titanic and Avatar and both those films turned out alright box office wise. The studio and I are firm on our December 2017 release date, we aren't backing down". —– Well, we can see his point. Avatar and Titanic are the two highest grossing movie of all time, with Avatar earning 2.7 billion dollars at the box office (an entire billion dollars more than The Force Awakens current box office). Looks like Star Wars may have met its match."

Disney has a habit of swinging their weight around in hopes to bully away competition lately
I hope Avatar 2 is another T2 for him, didn't like the first one that much

if it is being delayed it's not cause of star wars it's cause they need more time to make it perfect

Maybe. But I can't trust Cameron with release dates. Also I don't really like his movies but he is smart.

well if it's delayed it has to do with the fact they are filming all 3 sequels together as one project. similar to lord of the rings and will release a year apart i assume

Legends of Tomorrow was fun. Lot of potential, but the writing is pretty bland. They have a real good chance for some great character development, and I sure hope they don't squander it.

Though being that the cast will change every season, it seems likely that will be the case. I'm cautiously optimistic.

so it's like a reality show where the cast changes all the time?

Eh. They all have sort of open contracts for 1 year instead of two, with the intention being if the actors want to leave for a season and come back they are open to it, but will be replaced and have the ability to be replaced at any given time.

For instance because prison break is returning, captain cold and co probably wont be around for season 2. But Constantine has already been cast for it.

So I guess yeah in a sense it is like that.

hmm i guess that makes sense. im pretty sure shows like game of thrones do that with their guest stars who don't show up for seasons and such

Legends of tomorrow was pretty good actually, better than I expected. However, the writing was a little... eh, and jesus, I know its time travel and so doctor who similarities are inevitable, but having a principle doctor who actor play the main character, have him break away from the established "time police" time lord council/time master council and steal a ship to go an save the world..... its kind of heavy on the doctor who similarities lets just say.

Overall it seems a welcome addition to the DC TV world and im looking forward to more.

Watched the Legends of Tomorrow pilot. TL;DR: Easily enjoyable

I can see this show being a ride where you simply lean back and enjoy. There's no grand plot you need to follow, nothing is going on in the shadows. It's no mindfuck, and I don't see any meaningful twist. It is simply what it is. In the pilot we get an introduction. The dialog covers mostly things we know, and we can predict most events that unfold. If I wanted to add anything, it would be more personality to the conversations. We're also introduced to a new enemy Boba Fett, which gives us our first real action.

There's really nothing negative, but lacks what's needed for anything like a 10/10 rating. Simple, good old-fashioned Hollywood action. In this regard, it could easily outdo DC's and Marvel's other TV shows. If you liked the action aspect of Marvel's movies, and want to see something like it on TV, I believe this show would be for you.

"Could easily outdo DC's and Marvel's other TV shows"

Maybe, and that's a pretty big maybe, DC's, but there's no doubt in my mind that it does not even come close to Daredevil or even Jessica Jones. Especially if it's more spoonfeeding

It's different. Too early to say something for certain, but it looks like i's gonna be less bad drama and wasted time, which I'm happy for. Also, I think you won't get shit like Deus Ex Barry, like we did in S3 of Arrow.

It's gonna be much lighter in tunes than Arrow, and much more of an adventure than either. Characters are fairly bland in my opinion. Nothing bad, but not that much good. Not that it's needed. I like Rory and Scofield, though.
