I just saw the Xmas special for Dr Who this year.
Incidentally, I have decided to stop watching Dr Who.
Any show suggestions from you guys?

Get Arrow and Flash
Take everyone in those shows that were from spartacus (3/4ths cast and guest stars)
Put them in there own show together based in d.c. universe.
Make a new team
Call them The Gladiators
Give them gladius'
Make it comedy
Watch as Deathstroke, Captain Boomarang, Weather Man, the leader of argus, and the daughter of ra's al ghul, and others fight Xena and Illythia.

I'd watch the shit out of that. Still have my fingers crossed Viva Bianca/Illythia gets casted for Supergirl though.

Remember when TV wasn't censored so you could get away with tits and also stuff you wouldn't want to see like maybe a circumcision? Yeah.

It's amazing how fast I lost interest in House. It was too repetitive house refuses to take patient > patient has something special > house then takes patient > can't find the cure > somehow finds it > end

I have a feeling this is going to be the Green Lantern of Marvel. Which is a damn shame, because I really like Paul Rudd.
User avatar #27077 to #27067 - suddenk (01/07/2015) [-]
I think this movie has to have some big role in the MCU or Marvel wouldn't have risked it. I don't think it will fail seeing that it releases a few months after AoU. I also don't think it will be Green Lantern bad, but it might be there weakest so far.
User avatar #27078 to #27077 - hirollin (01/07/2015) [-]
At this point can Marvel really fail? Their hype train is so huge that its almost impossible. I mean objectively, GoG was bad. At least imo. I have heard many other people say that it's objectively bad, but the cheezyness and campyness is why they liked it so much. Yet people still praised it for just about everything, when the only thing I liked about it was the soundtrack and the howard the duck reference.

they seem to be trying to sweep that awful awful love triangle under the rug quite quickly. happy about that, still hate that that garbage was ever written though.
User avatar #27072 to #27070 - thegrohltroll (01/07/2015) [-]
I noticed that, and I'm really glad it's ending. I don't see why they would shoehorn a love triangle when there's a lot of other more important things to talk about

Need a new TV show to binge watch and don't know which one, recommend me some good ones.

I have watched many TV shows already so I'm not going to list them all, just suggest a bunch of them please.
User avatar #27034 to #27031 - seriouslyblack (01/05/2015) [-]
here are a few that come to mind: sons of anarchy, mad men, house md, arrested development, fargo, its always sunny in philadelphia, game of thrones, boardwalk empire, the office, parks and recreation, house of cards, avatar the last airbender, orange is the new black, true detective, scrubs, & the walking dead

those are a lot of god damn shows that everyone always says I absolutely need to watch. the ones in bold are actually ones you really should watch if you haven't already. and if you've seen all of these then you're in for another long list of underrated shows that no one talks about.

Penny Dreadful (Perfects dark drama)
Spartacus (Give it a few episodes to get good, after that it's amazing)
Fringe (Better than the X-Files, many say. I agree)
The Lost World (Old, campy, but sweet and innocent. Give it a few episodes and the acting improves. Hard to find, so I added a link. The Lost World Season 1 Episode 1 Pilot Part 1 )
Hemlock Grove
Episodes (Hilarious)
Hannibal (A MUST see)
Jericho (Didn't finish the story, but a damn good two seasons)
Vikings (Getting more popular, but needs a lot more love. Underrated.)
Da Vincis Demons (Fun show if you can get past the historical and logical errors.)
Continuum (One of the better time travel shows. Confusing at time though.)
The 100 (Good sci-fi. Much better second season so far)
Person of Interest (Used to be more popular, but it's drifted. Still very good)
#27045 to #27044 - hirollin (01/06/2015) [-]
Tfw i've seen most of those too. Penny Dreadful seems unfamiliar, however if by dark you mean horor I'm not really interested. I initially didn't like vikings, watched an episode or two, but I might pick that up again.
User avatar #27046 to #27045 - eight (01/06/2015) [-]
It depends on what you mean by horror. I mean, I suppose it's a horror type show, dealing with vampires, frankenstein, werewolves, demons, but it's not very scary.

It's similar to the darkness of Hannibal. It deals with serious character emotions, often negative and dramatic. Very intense, not much room for hope, love or anything that would make a show lighthearted.

As for Vikings, it might be worth a shot to give it another try. First season was low budget so not much action, second season has a lot more action and continues with its character depth.
User avatar #27047 to #27046 - hirollin (01/06/2015) [-]
Yeah, werewolf's and vamps and stuff like that really were never my thing. I've given plenty of shows with them a shot, but that whole genre along with the horror genre have never really been my cup of tea. I might give Hannibal a shot, I do enjoy character driven shows, but I was never a fan of the movies or the cannibal idea in general.

here are some underrated shows then. keep in mind these are shows that most of the general tv-watching public doesn't talk about, not just people on this site.

wilfred, hannibal, freaks & geeks, malcolm in the middle, portlandia, louie, the west wing, the newsroom, & fargo (i really really recommend this one)
User avatar #27040 to #27039 - hirollin (01/05/2015) [-]
seen most of them, but i could give fargo a shot.
User avatar #27041 to #27040 - seriouslyblack (01/05/2015) [-]
its a lot like breaking bad with the character development and the structure of its overall story with the black humor and tone of the original coen brother's movie. its really really really good and its only 10 episodes so far. season 2 will air on fx sometime in april hopefully.

yeah, i was waiting to see if it would last a couple of seasons.

Fury was really good. A war movie with Anti-War messages. Really great film.

The only part i disliked was the fact that after Wardaddy (bradd pitt) got blown up by 2 grenades, his body was all still in 1 piece. bullshit.

Dood, after I watched Interstellar it became pretty much my favorite movie of all time. I hate to overhype it but you have to see this if you like space and the whole wormhole concept.
