yeah, its out for 360 already. but the way i look at it is that by the time it comes out for ps3 they will have a lot of bugs worked out.

This is a serious question here.

If i have played both FO3 anf FO: NV and they are both the same thing when it comes to exploring...search a building and look in every single nook, cranny, desk door, cabinet, etc. i was just wondering if Skyrim would be worth buying or is it the same genral thing as the previously mentioned games

Fun Fact: Morrowind is as big as two Britains put together.

Skyrim is more related to Fallout because of the perks and no athletics and Acrobatics skills.

But yea, it is way different than Fallout.
User avatar #293 to #291 - skyrimturtles (07/05/2012) [-]
the elder scrolls series is somewhat like fallout there are monsters at every turn and great weapons and armor but i would suggest starting with morrowind or oblivion
User avatar #294 to #293 - primerpower (07/05/2012) [-]
but if i just want to get Skyrim to keep my elder scrolls friends from raping me any longer, i am going to guess youd recommend it?
User avatar #296 to #294 - skyrimturtles (07/05/2012) [-]
well yes skyrim is a great game only the interface is a little more disorganized than morrowind or oblivion and the difficulty is nothing compared to the two because its straightforward you barely have to think anything through
User avatar #297 to #296 - primerpower (07/05/2012) [-]
Welcome to modern video games...thank you for your input it might be my next game purchase. Either that or dragon dogma
User avatar #305 to #297 - flutterdie (07/05/2012) [-]
Dragons dogma is super fun, I couldn't put it down. You don't feel much of a story going on until near the end, but it really is pretty amazing. The climbing on the monsters isn't as good as, say, shadow of the colossus, but it's still massively fun.
User avatar #303 to #297 - dustyshane (07/05/2012) [-]
I would Start with morrowind. You may hate the combat system at first, but it's actually based on how high your skill is and wht weapon you use. It's not just hack and slash like the elder scrolls games after it.

My newest save is Lord of vampires.
User avatar #308 to #286 - dustyshane (07/05/2012) [-]
I made a new account just for the Vampire Lords.
I come to find out, if you join the Dawnguard, Serana will actually offer to make you a Vampire Lord after you come back from the Soul Cairn. So playing dawnguard would be better since you get schematics for making crossbows AND the ability to become a vampire lord.

Btw, most people don't know, both sides have the same main quest.
User avatar #282 - thecoolstorybro (07/05/2012) [-]
i have currently completed all the main side quests and the main quest and am a level 54. a thief came up to me when i was playing yesterday and tried to rob me. i laughed for a good 10 minutes as i slaughtered him

True Nords do not fear any Empire that bows to the damn elves
User avatar #288 to #285 - traelos (07/05/2012) [-]
But the empire was not to be feared! They brought trade, prosperity, technology, peace and ultimately power. By leaving them high and dry in their time of need we are less than the elves, at least they make their hostility clear. No one liked the white-gold concordant, but that could be changed in time. But when the empire should have been regrouping and recruiting their forces YOU forced them to spend more troops in a foolish war, YOU cut off their northern border, YOU backed out of an alliance just because it was not of immediate benefit. You are scum, and I'm moving to Hammerfell, their nobles may be of a mind with you but there are still men of honor to be found amongst the commoners there at least.

what about the warrior from oblivion
-huh it says here you are the guildmaster of the fighters mages and thieves you are the oblivion hero the grand champion of the arena high assassin of the dark brotherhood leader of the blades and you have killed every daedric worshiper
-hmm i don't know we'll give you a call

The person you play as is in Oblivion is known as the Hero of Kvatch.
User avatar #349 to #348 - skyrimturtles (07/05/2012) [-]
no that is just what the kvatch guards call you and a few other guards he has no specified title
User avatar #354 to #349 - Odobisean (07/05/2012) [-]
And Guild Master of Mage's, Fighter's, Thieve's, Dark Brotherhood
User avatar #353 to #349 - Odobisean (07/05/2012) [-]
His only formal titles would be Hero of Kvatch, Savior of Bruma, 7th Champion of Cyrodiil, Second Divine Crusader and Lord Sheogorath, Daedric Prince of Madness or just Prisoner. Todd Howard mainly refers to him as Hero of Kvatch at conferences.
User avatar #355 to #353 - skyrimturtles (07/05/2012) [-]
those are just formal titles he doesn't have a main title like dovahkiin also another thought doesn't that technically mean that in skyrim you are a septim
User avatar #360 to #355 - Odobisean (07/05/2012) [-]
Not sure exactly, I doubt he would be a Septim though since the last one Martin or whatever died at the end of Oblivion. I just like to think that Dovahkiins are made when someone ***** a dragon.
User avatar #362 to #360 - skyrimturtles (07/05/2012) [-]
but what if he had a daughter because the empire belongs to the first born son or he had another son that continued the line of dragoborns

I played New Vegas on both the Xbox and ps3. It constantly freezed with the Xbox but there literally was no problem with the ps3 version up until I got to really high levels and played every dlc (no console war please). I am considering on buying skyrim for the ps3 but I hear alout of the frame rate and bug issues the game has like fallout . Skyrim and fallout are published from the same people so I know that the engines the games run on aren’t that different. Will I be experiencing similar problems with skyrim like what I have on fallout?
#225 to #219 - rubbereh (07/05/2012) [-]
New Vegas was Obsidian, Skyrim's Bethesda. Absolutely get Skyrim for xbox, PS3 has some serious problems.
#240 to #225 - warrior (07/05/2012) [-]
Yeah I know they were developed by different people (Bethesda Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment) and but I meant they were published by the same company(Bethesda Softworks). The makers of skyrim also made fallout 3 which also had numerous bugs and frame rate problems, which is why I brought up new vegas as it uses the same engine as fallout 3. I do not have a Xbox so I guess I am missing out on a great game.

How is being called a milkdrinker an insult?
I see nothing wrong with occasionally enjoying milk.
Wel,perhaps if the person in question was lactose intolerant.

Think about the context. This is a country populated by mead-loving vikings. To them, and most of the world, spirits are for adults, and milk is for babies.
