Is that on PC with some sort of epic graphic mods?
When I play all the trees are just sprites and the buildings don't fully render until you're 3 inches away.

Sad part is, he probably had a wife, and children. He was doing his duty, serving his country. Defending the ones he loved. He only did it to protect them.
And you killed him. You took his dogtags. His family will never know if or how he died. He will just be another name on the MIA list.
Missing. But not forgotten.
You should feel terrible.

Probably not because he is only a bunch of bytes
#240 to #98 - Common Pepe (06/24/2012) [-]
Sad part is he is a virtual image, has no feelings, and I highly doubt EA would put that much detail into each of the characters.

You are.
We all are. It's our nature. To fight to survive and kill those who do the same. We never think about it. To you, they're the bad guy. You kill the bad guy to stay alive.
But to them, you're the bad guy. The guy who want's to invade his home, destroy the nation he only wants to protect.

I've refused to knife anyone in this game, always, for the exact reasons you described.

When I first did it, I didn't know that you take dogtags, I just assumed it was like a CoD melee. Instead, I grab him, he turns to me with eyes of total shock as my knife plunges directly in to his chest. He doesn't even fight back, and just stares in to my eyes in disbelief as he falls back, his eyes eventually rolling back in to his head as I rip the dogtag from his neck.

I didn't leave the corpse alone until it vanished. I felt like **** .

Why am I such a pussy?

It happened to me playin Hitman Blood Money. When you strangle someone sitting they sometimes die with a smile. At least they died happy.

two pairs of dogtags, the others will be in his boots.
User avatar #167 to #99 - bumasmokebro (06/24/2012) [-]
I haven't played Battlefield, but if you rip off two tags from the guy then that's all his tags. Having been deployed to Afghanistan I can tell you we only got one "pair", and one tag stayed around our necks and the other tag was shoved into our boot laces. The only other pair we were given stayed home with our unit.
#148 to #99 - honourableevil (06/24/2012) [-]
He's right, some militaries do this as a secondary option in case the guy gets blown to pieces and they can only find his leg or something. That, and they are putting into development a chip that can be implanted as a dog tag, sort of like the ones that you put into you real dog so that you can track it if it gets lost or stolen.
