Personally I don't understand why you can't kill children in games, it would certainly add to the effect that bad things are in fact happening to everyone, not just adults while kids live in a happy sugar store world filled with love.

Would I intentionally kill children if I could? no I don't like shooting civilians in most games, let alone children.

That doesnt make any sense. I don't think your alowed to make games where children are killed, even if you are bethesda wouldnt. you can kill or harm children in olbivion, skyrim or fallout 3. and most games are the same. no children in gta or fable, the only children in fable are unkillable.

You can kill kids in Deus Ex, Fallout 2 (possibly 1, I forgot), and multiple other games. Also, Obsidian was the developer, so they had the main job in making it, not Bethesda.

You're allowed too, but you'd likely get slapped with an AO rating.

I don't think it has to be rated Ao, in MW3 you see a little girl get decimated by a dirty bomb www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfqpGJ1vhLU

You can kill kids in Deus Ex, Fallout 2 (maybe 1, forgot), and a few others, if I'm not mistaken. Hell, you can kill that little girl in Megaton in Fallout 3 technically, if you blow it up.

There are ******* regulations against killing kids and old people in video games. Look at GTA, kids and old people are only in cutscences so the player doesnt have an chance to kill them. And even Fallout won't allow it.

******* ******** post.

Okay... first off:

1.) There are no regulations. It's just extremely frowned upon.
2.) It was ultimately cut out so your complaining is pointless.

Also, in Fallout 2 you can kill kids but you will get a bad reputation in the game. This is in the US version and some European versions but not most.

In GTA IV you see grannies walking around all the time and you can kill them. I know they were old because they were kind of shambling.

But YOU don't kill the kid, its a cut scene. Like I said, cut scenes are acceptable but you cannot actually kill a kid or elder.

Honestly in ME3 i can see how that kid dieing is allowed, but there are some other games in which it is pretty bad, like in Bioshock and MW3 as stated below. Sure they are cutscenes and you don't actually see it happening but it is still implied. Also it could have been scrapped after they were told to scarp it, even though it says otherwise.

in mw3 a child gets blown to pieces right in front of you..... and the biggest elephant in the room.... bioshock. sure you can "cure" the kids but you still have the option to kill them

What part of me CHOOSING to kill them says i'm not responsible for killing them? Regardless of whether or not it is in a cut scene, the fact of the matter is I clicked the button saying kill this little girl. That is like saying my gun didn't that kill that person my bullet did.

Holy ****, I figured this out. In Lonesome Road, to the left as you enter on top of a few pipes in the cliff is a few Jet, with the message "Let it all End". Ulysses was originally gonna be a companion on the normal game, but there's not a lot of details on that, so maybe this is his home!
