User avatar #89231 to #89229 - youregaylol (07/01/2015) [-]
no, i might raise an orphaned child, just not one spawned from my cuckolding.
User avatar #89232 to #89231 - marinepenguin ONLINE (07/01/2015) [-]
And I agree with that, but would you not consider the child from the content orphaned? If there was any other option for someone to raise that child, I would let them take care of it. But if it came down to being an orphan or me adopting her, I would suck it up and do it. The child did nothing.

Another question, would you marry a woman who is a single mother? Or is the fact that she has a child already, make her not an option to you? I'm not going anywhere with this, I am just curious
User avatar #89239 to #89232 - lulzrebornagain ONLINE (07/02/2015) [-]

User avatar #89285 to #89239 - marinepenguin ONLINE (07/02/2015) [-]
I can't say I NEVER would, because sometimes really shitty stuff can happen to decent people, but it would have to be quite the exceptional woman to make me take the leap into marriage.
User avatar #89234 to #89232 - youregaylol (07/02/2015) [-]
If you agree with me you'll understand that while do see the child as orphaned it is still the result of my cuckolding and i cannot raise it, even if the other option was putting it into an orphanage. It did nothing, but so did a million other orphans. This is not about resentment towards the child.

When I was in the Navy I had an affair with a married woman with children and I still feel guilt about it to this day, I was 18 and sex crazed but it still doesn't change the fact that I most likely had a hand in ruining that family though i wasn't her first.

I will never get involved with a woman who has significant ties like that again, be it ex husbands or children.
User avatar #89237 to #89234 - marinepenguin ONLINE (07/02/2015) [-]
I agree with you on the fact that I would not raise a child that was the result of an unfaithful woman, but there are always exceptions in my mind.

If the only choice for a child is me raising it, or orphanage, I'll look past the things I don't approve of to give that child a decent life.

If the mother or father is still alive and able to care for it, then I will have no part in any of their lives. To willingly remain in the life of an unfaithful woman shows cowardice, and no honor on anyone's part.

I can agree with your view on women with children already though. I had the chance to sleep with a woman much like the situation you were in, I didn't end up doing anything with her since it just felt wrong.

Although, in this particular instance of the content, I'd put aside my feelings to try and raise the child. Better she has some family, than be a ward of the state.
#89191 to #89186 - schnizel (07/01/2015) [-]
My gf went out with another guy before calling me, told her to pick between the two of us and she picked him. She told me that she still loves me but he understands her better. I gave everything I had to her and she leaves me for a liberal hippie that would not last 30 seconds in with me in a ring. The most important thing I learned about it is to never trust women, nor to hold them as the same standard as men. Offsprings of shitty women tend to be shitty as well, if not shitty then idiotic to some degree. Women have no sense of honor because it's a male concept made by men, and for men.
Now in this case, I would most likely keep the child because my only weakness is children. I would raise it to become a better person than her mother ever was and if she goes in a wrong way I would kick her out of my life.

How do you think the rest of Europe will react if Greece leaves the Eurozone? What is the future of Greece if it's left to its own devices after defaulting?

Option 1. Greece will probably go back to the Drachma which could end up making things even worse.
Option 2. Russia will bail out Greece making them their bitch and really only temporarily patching a large wound. (doubt this one since Russia's economy isn't doing great either)
Option 3. People will vote yes on the referendum causing SYRIZA to resign and have new elections. ND is unlikely to gain votes anymore so Golden Dawn, KKE and To Potami will have the most potential.
Option 4. Socialist revolution and collectivization of the means of productions. Entirely depends on how radical SYRIZA actually is.

You must keep in mind that the EU =/= the eurozone
The EU is more like a confederacy while the Eurozone is a monetary union, which means the countries share the same currency.
The united states is a monetary union because each state does not issue its own currency.
Lots of countries have their own currencies and it works fine. A large benefit of a country having its own currency with a free floating exchange rate is that it is a market mechanism that regulates imports and exports; the biggest downside is that its a little volatile; this is especially true if the area of the currency is small.
The benefit of a monetary union is that it make international trade easy, but the balance of trade may be shifted in one direction.

A lot of people say that Europe wasn't ready for a monetary union because most people don't even speak the same language. In a monetary union, it is necessary that the labor force be flexible enough to move around and relocate in order to compensate for the balance of trade. This doesn't really happen much in Europe.

Greece would be better off if it didn't use the Euro because they have to get their own problems in check before they use a currency everyone else is using.
The UK doesn't use the euro and it does fine.
User avatar #89174 to #89173 - marinepenguin ONLINE (07/01/2015) [-]
So while Britain is in the EU, it isn't in the Eurozone? That makes a tremendous amount of sense to me.

A population with integrity and honor would be less likely to commit crimes, and be more willing to work together for the greater good. Discipline is essential in creating an incredibly efficient society, as it creates many other traits such as greater work ethic, and greater chances for success in your personal life.

Agreed. Those three virtues, and synonyms thereof, are extremely important, and i find no other qualities which i would prioritize more...

Unfortunately American and European society has lost these qualities in many places. One reason I've really enjoyed the military is because there is a lot of these three traits among all members I meet.

How can we tackle the population problem?
Hard mode:
No forced sterilization
No genocide

Personal opinion: Heavy sex-ed programs in countries with high birhtrates, give subsidies to those with too low birthrates, Stop foreign aid, let any countries in need thereof go through the natural population phases by themselves.

1: thinner condoms
2: Those Male Birth Control pills coming out in a few years
3: make orphans cheaper
4: government only pays for first baby

Possible Loophole for forced sterilization. create a synthetic version of a few sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia and gonorrhea, to where after you are exposed to it you become irreversibly sterile, highly sexually active individuals who are likely to spawn more children are more likely to contract said infection and not be able to reproduce. More intelligent individuals who use protection and exercise restraint when it comes to sexual activities will be less likely to contract it and spawn children. It could possibly create a more intelligent population in the long run, or fail miserably. I don't know, just thought it up in 10 seconds.

And on top of everything you said, socially you could have fewer welfare benefits for each child and reduce the appeal for living a welfare dependant lifestyle by spawning more children.

In my opinion though, the world population will begin to level out soon. We are not immune to nature and it's ability to cull a species as it stretches its resources. Our technology allows us to feed more people, and increases our maximum number of inhabitants, but we're reaching the limit of earths resources and that strain, plus the development on modern nations and their lowering birthrates, will lead to stagnation within earths population unless there is a significant breakthrough in agriculture or we can start bringing in resources from other planetary bodies. We'll see if my observation is correct soon, but I don't ever see there being more then 15 billion people ever being able to live on Earth.

I don't see any sort of limit to human potential. We didn't believe man could fly. We didn't believe we could create the power to destroy the planet. We didn't believe we could reach the moon.

We constantly break barriers and surprise ourselves. It's possible that we'll reach a point where we can no longer progress, but I don't believe we have reached that point yet.

What Makes America Different?

Is America truly not as bad as we'd think? Or is this some form of propaganda?

Conservatives that desperately tries to make the US look like the exceptional country makes the US look worse and worse through the eyes of those that aren't blinded by patriotism.
User avatar #89097 to #89095 - marinepenguin ONLINE (06/29/2015) [-]
It doesn't make the US look worse to me, it makes me think that people are blinded by patriotism. I love the United States and wouldn't live anywhere else, but when all you hear is how terrible you are from everyone and how much of a shithole the US is whether it's true or not isn't the point , even an over the top almost propaganda-like video such as this one is a nice change of pace at best.

User avatar #89094 to #89093 - marinepenguin ONLINE (06/29/2015) [-]
I'd like to know how.

Yugoslavia was created by the Soviets and basically ignored the existence of 6 different states that existed before, after the death of Tito in 1980 secessionist movements began to spread and it finally erupted after the fall of the USSR.
User avatar #89099 to #89094 - schnizel (06/29/2015) [-]
No, Tito and the Yugoslavian communists made Yugoslavia, not the SSSR.
User avatar #89101 to #89099 - marinepenguin ONLINE (06/29/2015) [-]
You are right. My mistake. But the federation still began to fall apart as communism weakened in the region, and after Tito had died. The USSR falling was just the final push towards fragmentation.

The US has no interests in the region and never really has beyond reducing communism.

We declared autonomy, it's like saying the American-British war was a civil war, and we have a better case because we declare independence and autonomy without their troops breathing at our neck.
User avatar #89110 to #89109 - marinepenguin ONLINE (06/29/2015) [-]
Or like the American civil war. You could have called the South and autonomous nation and the north unjustly invaded.

In the end it doesn't matter what you call it. Civil war, invasion, rebellion, etc. There was conflict that led to a fractured Yugoslavia.

I still don't understand your point. We're arguing semantics. The US was not involved in the dissolution of former Yugoslavia. The US and NATO only got involved to end the conflict and genocide, they accomplished that. If you are upset with the US, logically you should also be upset at the other NATO members involved.
