Why is that sneaky? That's the fucking point. If half the illegal immigrants don't even hope the border, and the wall only covers half the border, the vast majority of illegal immigrants will still get through, making a wall minimal you effective.

The only reason you think it's "sneaky" is that it's inconvenient to your retarded position.

The most effective solution would be policing visas and employers of illegal immigrants. Of course that's intelligent so trump will never suggest it.

Buddy, the wall is stopping illegal immigration FROM THE SOUTHERN BORDER. You know, doing what walls do and stopping illegals from crossing when they shouldn't. Walls don't just magically fly around and pick up people with overstayed visas and deport them or stop ships from the Atlantic and Pacific. If everyone used your ridicolous line of reasoning most countries wouldn't need functioning borders lol. You're basically saying "Wall Can fix X but not Y thus it shouldn't exist at all and not fix X". It's retarded, plain and simple.

So do you admit you don't think a country should have functioning borders? Are you an activist for open borders is my follow-up?

Yeah I don't care if its a fence or wall, I just want a secure border. America does not have a secure border, huge parts of the southern border are left open and not guarded. Also we talked about this some time before, the wall wouldn't be that expensive and would actually get jobs. I thought leftists like public jobs and public programs?

The wall wouldn't cover the unsecured areas for the same reason they're currently unsecured. All told it would only reinforce the half of the border already guarded.

The less extensive the wall is the less effective it is. Further, any jobs created would be temporary and could be gained by spending the same money on anything else, there's a reason we don't pay people to dig holes and fill them in.

I "literally" did. The effect doesn't justify the cost, making it a bad proposal. Learn to read.

True we spend money on a lot more stupid shit like wasting money helping terrorists in Syria, or toppling governments we shouldn't, or paying hundreds of thousands to screen people we don't need to bring in the first place, or acting as the state to single mothers, ect.

"So essentially, hire more guards?"
Pointless to hire more guards where fencing doesn't exist. We need more wall or fencing.

"I also like that you only responded to half the point by the way"
I responded to all your relevant points, anything I didn't respond to was likely because I responded to the preceding sentence that enabled it happen. You don't respond to something that comes after an argument if you've already responded the argument. Literally show me otherwise because I bet you fucking cant.

"So we should waste more money?"
Not a waste of money though. We need a secure border. Look at the link I gave you, watch a documentary even. Read up, maybe you didn't know but large parts of totally build-able-upon LAND is unsecure. Unsecure for illegals to cross. This is really simple stuff you're trying to overly complicate.

"Oh that irrelevant question. Yes, intelligent border policy is a good thing."
No it was a totally relevant question that took you way too long to answer, I have no idea how far left you are because I honestly have no idea when to take you ideologically seriously. All you seem to do is play devils advocate.

From your own sources 61% of attempted crossings are blocked. Furthermore, border crossings are on the decline. Spending billions to solve a 5th of a decreasing problem doesn't sound smart to me.

That's not true actually. Barriers supplement manpower by holding people in place and therefore necessitating fewer patrols. If manpower alone solves the issue more efficiently it's the smarter choice.

You didn't respond to the part about jobs justifying projects. The government could spend billions on pointless tasks but most would rather they didn't.

Your own sources diminishes your point.

....and...this is your argument? Like I am trying very hard to have a discussion with you. But I legitimately feel like I'm talking to a brick wall. I don't know how to explain this to you...but 61%...is not a good number... I don't understand how the hell you looked at that number and thought "great". A facepalm wouldn't even suffice for this conversation, I need to ram my head through a wall after reading your post.

"Furthermore, border crossings are on the decline."
This is a really bad argument and you know it, you're clinging to straws here. Just because it is in decline doesn't mean it isn't a problem.

"Barriers supplement manpower by holding people in place and therefore necessitating fewer patrols. If manpower alone solves the issue more efficiently it's the smarter choice. "
...And this was your response to? >Pointless to hire more guards where fencing doesn't exist. We need more wall or fencing.

Having a barrier is far more important than having a couple patrols come by once in a while in a desert. You actually need a fucking barrier to stop the people. Man power alone will obviously not solve the problem unless you put a guy every 300 meters, and at that point they'd need to be housed in some kind of location. It would be better to just put up a fence at that point too (Look at Hungary). I literally have no idea how the hell you could possibly think you could argue we could just put more patrols in the desert without any barrier and that would be good enough. Even imagining such an idea in the hot, dry Southern border should immediately draw red flags.

>You didn't respond to the part about jobs justifying projects
Oh you mean "could be gained by spending the same money on anything else". First off my point about jobs is just a side bonus to the idea. Second of all your argument isn't even really an argument. So what you could gain those jobs by spending on something else...so? I literally don't see a point. The government could fund 50 billion more in welfare and create jobs for people working in welfare programs - or we could do it for the military and make military jobs. But where is the argument?

>Your own sources diminishes your point.
We are talking in circles because you are absolutely refusing, refusing to see the point Either out of pure ignorance or purposefully , aside from the fact that your entire argument was "61" which is absolutely stupid and didn't in anyway diminish my point. I am honestly trying very hard to have a real discussion with you, but I feel like I'm not at all being given the same brain power I'm putting in. I feel like you aren't actually thinking hard enough about the argument you write before you do it. I also don't think you're actually trying to respond to my arguments like how I'm doing. This was one of the reasons I thought you were a troll before.

This my just be my last reply, its frustrating talking to a person I believe to be this dense. And I don't even mean that as an insult.

The Christian Science Monitor is about as unbiased as the New York Times.

"Immigration policy analyst Alex Nowrasteh of the Cato Institute, who criticized the center's previous analysis, tells The Christian Science Monitor this recent study is "fatally flawed" in the same way.

"If they actually wanted to count how much welfare immigrants use, they should have just counted the immigrants and the welfare they use, instead of the households of US citizens – that is an apples-to-apples comparison," says Mr. Nowrasteh.

"If we should count them, shouldn't we also count the welfare use of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren of immigrants?," wrote Nowrasteh, in his criticism of the September study. "Such a way of counting would obviously produce a negative result but it would also not be informative." "

That's the problem with the study.

Ultimately the study itself on how much an immigrant family gets in welfare means little. The main point I'm trying to make is that illegal immigrants do get welfare, regardless of the law.

This alone creates incentive to immigrate to the US that is incompatible with our current situation.

Or, even more likely, Iraqis suing the US government for the actions of the US military and its contractors.
That's what Obama was trying not to open the door to. Now the US have ignored this principle of international convention you can expect other nations to do the same.

And why shouldn't the US government be sued if it was tied to war crimes that left families in ruins? It's one thing to sue the government just because citizens otherwise unrelated to it performed illegal acts, but if the government is directly tied to said illicit acts - like the Saudi Arabians allegedly tied to al Qeada - then why shouldn't they at least be taken to trial against these acts? I'd be 100% supportive of a lawsuit imposed by civillian families from the Middle Eastern campaigns, or the Vietnamese campaigns for a recent-ish example to hold those that authorized known criminal acts that were otherwise shrouded in bureaucracy.

International convention serves a function right up to diplomatic immunity, where foreign dignitaries face risk being imprisoned indefinitely without a conviction. But there has to come a point where international convention stops shielding larger governments simply because they're larger, and if this opens the door to that idea, then I'd be all the more supportive of it.

The involvement of Saudi Arabia's royal family towards the Taliban and terrorists acts such as 9/11 has been constantly shrouded in classified documents. A proper trial will bring this to light and strike the transparency necessary for those afflicted.

I have deep sympathy for the families of the victims of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, who have suffered grievously,” Mr. Obama wrote. But enacting the measure “would neither protect Americans from terrorist attacks nor improve the effectiveness of our response to such attacks.”

The reason I consider it such a grievious insult is the American government, both federal and local New York, has consistently shafted emergency first responders of 9/11 for much needed healthcare, on top of other long-term victim aid. Yet both he, and every politician under the sun, has campaigned saying how they're 100% supportive of 9/11 victims.

Why is the term racist even seen so horribly now a days?

All racism really is, is group preference. I prefer my group to yours. It's not like we don't do this with almost every other thing we do, yet the moment it becomes about our ethnic group it becomes a huge deal.

I'd go as far as to say its a natural instinct or preference that we either are forced to suppress or are fed propaganda from a young age to hate. I personally think at least a third of people or likely more are racist, simply because they prefer their own group regardless of if they'll admit it. If you prefer to be around your own people instead of another group, another way of saying this is you'd rather live in a white neighborhood than a Somalian one - that basically fits the definition of modern racism.

It seems like we live in an era where the majority of people are just suppressing this emotion/instinct because they don't want anyone knowing, yet their friends and family members are likely thinking the same thing, which is rather ironic.

because racism is horrible. though most modern accusations of racism are essentially a witch hunt. The free market eradicates discrimination because discrimination inherently limits total possible market share. I'd rather let it run its course and let racism fade into irrelevance than keep it alive just to use it as a weapon against anyone you don't like like leftists do

Ben Shapiro is probably autistic. I don't mean that as being unintelligent, he's actually very, very bright. Hearing him speak you can instantly see that he knows what hes talking about.

But he is just so odd and disconnected from normal human emotion. He reminds me of the nerd in class who would always laugh at random moments.

Still, he can destroy college leftists with more intellectual vigor than Milo, which is a benefit to the larger movement.

Doesn't say much about Trump being allowed to ramble on and on and on and on without answering questions. Or the fact that Trump interrupted again and again without being called on it.

Why is is that the closest thing we got from Clintons scandals is Trump mentioning the email, and then Holt allowing Clinton to respond?

Really, I want to see how your mind deludes itself into believing this was a fair division of questions.

A presidential candidate should be asked about any major controversy they were directly involved in, especially when so many people care about this. "But she didnt get thrown in jail" doesnt mean the issue dies. Also it speaks to her judgement, its a fair question.

We'e talking about this debate though sweety. And this debate was all about attacking Trump. If your argument was that the moderator was fair should explain why he hit Trump so many times without hitting Clinton. If you can't, you should take it back.

Trump was asked about :Trumps taxes, Trumps Iraq statements, Trumps birther bullshit, and Trumps stop

Hillary was asked about: Nothing/given a chance to respond to Trumps email assertions.

I'm sorry sweetheart, you're mistaken.

I think that each candidate needs to be asked personal hard hitting questions in equal amounts to avoid bias. This moderator didn't do that, and thus the debate was biased.

Simple.
