Some (melodic) songs with german lyrics:
Finsterforst - Ein Lichtschein: www.youtube.com/watch?v=67XmPphvopQ
Mondstille - Ich, der Pan: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMQRpmh0I9Y
Ewigheim - Himmelfahrt: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuRWl76CcRw
Klabautamann - Unter Bäumen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODJ1aYCK1tY
Ingrimm - Vogelfrei: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Peqi84ACBUk
Fjoergyn - Der Himmel fällt: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUzWTkeWIrA
Fimbulvet - Schildes Schatten: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezFHg-cZv0U
If you want to present one of the two songs you posted, I would choose Blut im Auge.

I'd suggest maybe taking somethin with clean vocals as most people will have trouble understanding anything sung with harsher vocals.
Subway to Sally or Die Apokalyptischen Reiter are bands that have lyrics that a very understandable and in german for example.
If you really want to use one of the two songs you named I'd say go with Blut im Auge as it doesn't feature the abysmal Schlager section like Wirtshaus Gausi does

If I want to warm up on Drums, their stuff is good for that, and I imagine it's the same for guitar.

Honestly they embody my problem with most metalcore (particular the popular stuff) in general. Musically it's pretty bleh, but it's really fun to play. It's fast enough to get you involved and has enough ups and downs that you do a bunch of stuff, but it doesn't take any real thought or focus to play along to.

Not joking, I torrented that album for that song 3 days ago. Being someone who listens to mostly 80's - 90's metal and rock I decided to give some new stuff a chance and bumped into that. I must say they're not bad, but that song sticks out, the vocals are a little close to bordering "whiny metal" but it's a really good song and the band is reminiscent of Judas Priest in my eyes.

Whiny metal being: "Oh my life's so depressing, give attention pls"

Megadeth.

The rest don't really tickle my pickle except for early Metallica with Mustaine. Maybe a side order of Slayer, they've pumped out some good tracks.

I just love Mustaine's awful singing and complex playing, and not to forget Marty Friedman, time for a long Megadeth session I think!

I've listened to Exodus, Venom and Havok.

I don't know why but I always go back to Megadeth.

It's confusing, it's written as a word that doesn't share any vowel sounds with the original and there's already proper notation to indicate a letter it's being omitted. It's just hard to read, and a single symbol fixes it everything.

You get good at writing English, dude. There are rules for when you take a letter out of a word. You don't just take it out, then you aren't typing that word any more.

Sure. We all go to a monthly get-together where we stick baseball bats up each other's ass if someone has been misusing the En dash.
