The style is known as bebop, I love coltrane's Russian Lullaby but it's a bit of a toss up between him and parker.

Which one? You can pick up an alto for fairly cheap and it doesn't take long to get fairly average.

Yamaha is definitely a good brand, but it's best you bring someone along who can already play it to try it out. For student saxes I'd definitely go secondhand as they're cheaper, but then there are a few things to watch out for. Avoid Chinese models. I persronally have a Vespro (American made) and it's served me well, but after 3-4 years it definitely needs a good service and the intonations a bit off on harmonics.

If the guy selling it doesn't know anything about it, it's probably stolen. Google the serial number (usually on the back by the thumb rest)

Solder. If you see any evidence of solder, welding, or cover ups, don't buy it.

Intonation. Should stay relatively in tune all the way from low Bb to top F#.

Well, there's no stores near me selling instruments, and no people nearby selling used saxes, so i really just have to order one of the net. Also I don't know anyone that plays the sax so i'm kind of lost there as well.
But maybe I can order a used one off ebay?

Nah, if you can't see it don't buy it.

Looks like you don't have an option to go second-hand, it wouldn't be worth getting bit on the ass for.

Are you looking to teach yourself or get a teacher?

I think there's a place nearby that teaches people up to 19 (i'm 17) so i was hoping i'd get a spot there. Other than that i'd probably be practicing off books and stuff I find online.
Maybe i'll find some instrument shop nearby I could take the bus or train to. Make a day outta it.

Might as well, if you go to a shop that isn't guitar based you're likely to find someone who'll give you some help. I would recommend tuition but if you need books, there are plenty online, or just mention my name here. I've got a lot in pdf form. Charity shops are also great for cheap music books and scores.

Ravel Piano Concerto In G Major Argerich Dutoit Orchestre National De France Frankfurt 9 9 1990 I will never understand the classical mentality. You spend fucking ages writing several parts for a 20 minute piece, for several different instruments, you do three movements and then you just go "Eh, fuck it, it's a concerto and it's in G major, there's the title".

pre-romantic they just wanted to explain what you were getting yourself into rather than bias you with the writer's interpretations of the emotion. It would be accessible I think if they had descriptive titles though

Choujigen Game Neptune:The animation Opening Full "Dimension Tripper" Sub Español Miracle! Portable☆Mission by nao /w Japanese and Romaji Subtitle I never understood the concept of a "guilty pleassure" until now. Sort of. I mean, like what you like, if it makes you happy, if it resonates with you that's all the reason you should ever need. That's the point of music: to speak from soul to soul. Anything else is entirely superficial.
But. I can't stop listening to it. And it's shit. No, I'm not being that tosser who goes "I know it's shit, but that's why I like it._ No, I fucking hate it. It's nonsense, it's noises, it's terribly written. And yet... I can't stop listening to it because I love these games so fucking much. It's fucking horrible.
This does that thing I like about Japanese music where they take really heavy instrumentation and put it behind the poppiest, bubblegummiest vocals they can find. But both the instrumentation and the vocals are shit. It's all so shit, and I can't stop.
