Does anyone 'subscribe' I think that's the term to either RossDraws or Kuvshinov-Ilya's patreon? If so, would you say it's worth it? They say that they give you detailed information about the art they do for that week if you pay the max donation tier, but is it worth it? How could they have maintained the business if they tell you everything they do and how they do it? Their art style hasn't really changed at all. Yet they still get 3k a week for their art tutorials.

As a side note, I just found out about WLOP, have you guys ever seen art so on point that it made your own art seem like a the hot dog vendor next to the 20 star restaurant?

Is that really stealing or renditions? All of those are the same characters just in his style. I feel like stealing would have to be the same pose of another persons work and then you put your own character over it.

Also for the cosplayers, women and toys that he used, that's a point of reference if anything else. RossDraws (and pretty much any artist I've ever seen) does that.

Maybe you know something I don't, but from those examples they all seem like reference pictures and renditions. Plus his style looks 10,000 better than the original. The only one I'd say are a bit too close to the line would be the death parade one and the violin girl one since they don't change all that much.

I don't know this artist, but if that's all he does then I'm quite suspicious.

Does he not have something somewhat original in his mind that he wants to draw? Even if it's a famous character doing a slightly unique pose?

One thing's for sure I would not blame you if you like his art for the coloring/shading. He's obviously done his basics since he has his own style. True copy-cats don't have their own style, or they latch on the style of the artist they trace most like a parasite. Which is why it's recommended to take features from multiple artists if you want inspiration.

If this is your ability, getting the details of Ross or Kuvs procedure would be useless because you're far ahead of them, your style would be tainted

I wouldn't donate to someone who doesn't need it because I don't have much to spare... I would like to one day open a patreon too

10/10, made me chuckle.

that's not really how I draw but I wanted to make the joke and draw something in 10 seconds

I know those two don't need the money, I was just curious if what they have to show would actually be worth it. Also I too don't have much to donate to patreons. Especially theirs that are either pay per week or pay per picture which is pretty brutal. But it seems a lot of people are into that since they're both in the high $2k's every week.

I might just donate to mah man Rando since his is $2 a month and he gives you literally everything. And even a personal coloring book which I find adorable.

As a side note, if you draw anything like your profile I'll give your patreon a peep see

You should check Sakimi Chan patreon just for the lulz

I know they're great, some people would donate to them not for the prices but just for the love to their work... I don't think you'll find someone here that has actually paid those patreon pages, not even one in all FJ, if you really REALLY want to draw like them, I guess is worth it, I just think that there are enough free tutorials scattered around, enough to make you even better than them...eventually.
Thanks for checking my draws dood! glad you think that way

hoooooooly patreoli that's insane! almost $30k every 2 weeks!? and for yaoi and porn... whatever works I guess...

you're right with that part about the free tutorials. I just don't know where to start. People say to 'draw every day' so I have been, I don't know what to draw so I just draw a bunch of nonsense. I've written up 40+ comic stories these past week or so and really want to start drawing them but without a style and drawing the way I do now with no idea how to do anything drawing related like the patreon guys I posted, it's a pretty daunting task. I know they've all been drawing for 5+ years each and it comes in time, but I dunno.

What, do peoples basements have Raptor problems? also how did you go about story building? I myself thought about webcomic thing and even wrote a bit about airships, military and politics(which I don't know much about) and each idea just branches off into a bunch of plot holes that need filling, such a hassle. easiest part is drawing

Actually in this story there are little tiny babby raptor type things and they're considered invasive and people treat them like rats.

Idunno really how I go about world building tbh. I just kinda keep going, and the gaps fill themselves. Plot holes are nearly nonexistent in almost all the stories I write, but I agonize over the details to a degree that I doubt most people would even consider. I've got notes on stuff like how callused a character's foot might be and how the hem of a specific outfit goes. Most of my stories revolve around one central event and I take immense care to flesh out exactly what that event caused and how. Like this story revolves around a largely unexplained apocalyptic event on the other side of the world that seems to be steadily rewriting the rules of reality.

I try to balance out my worlds with various factors of what I call "The bullshit factors." Like how a world where people die when they fall from a helicopter without a parachute can't coexist with something like man eating muscle meat priests. But if there are cyborgs and impact resistant armor and what not then it becomes a lot more feasible but at the same time the man eating muscle meat priest seems less insane in comparison. The key is to micromanage every aspect of the world, and at a certain point you'll have enough lore in the background to justify basically anything.

Made a custom wallpaper for discord. Started out with the Nova Theme and edited the wallpaper it came with to match my favorite colors. Gave it a bit of personality with the logo, and made the chat field look separate to the rest of the image by virtually dropping it down a notch.

It's all very simple layer styles and very quick work, but it makes for such a nice result, which makes me wish more people did casual photoshopping like I do. We would see so much simple art come out of it, and it feels so good to give something a personal touch.

Anyone have any similar projects? Custom wallpapers, skins, paintjobs? I'll post a few more if I find any I deem worthy

Second is also a joke avatar, pacifiers and a cigarette to signify childish cancerous behaviour online for a very salty person, third is a temporary one I have now because I just dropped my first single.

Well, as you can see... I mostly make stuff for myself, and I don't necessarily like that all too much now that I see my name and logo plastered over everything, but that's also something I wanna mention. I do this type of shit super quick and simple, so if anyone has a little idea they need put into the sort of style you see here, then I can help you, free of charge, so long as you're not a dick about the free work

Here you can see a joke on the left again. Played a game of CS with only Bizons, and we kicked someone for not using it, so we made a clan tag, yada yada yada, so I made a custom skin for the bizon and literally slapped a ribbon on it just to have a picture for it.

Second is my phone, in sort of a gameboy style, very minimalistic and neat. I was high when I made it, so forgive any flaws; I was genuinely surprised when I woke up and noticed how much effort I put into it.

And the third is the cover for the single. Got some nice feedback on that picture on my snapchat... More than the song, so I guess that says something haha.

Anyway, I'd love to see your pieces, and I hope I inspire someone to at least learn the basics of photoshop. It doesn't take a master to make something quick and simple like some of these examples; you just have fuck around until you find something that works for you, and work on that

I don't know why, maybe the eyes, but something isn't sitting right with me. The head could also be a bit bigger, but I don't know the character, so it might be the way it's supposed to be.
