as said, working out will get you going. after your muscles start increasing you'll probably need to start eating more, and gaining more weight

Increase meat in your diet and start doing some sport. Go to the gym, swim, or go running (well it would be best if you do all of those :D) it will help you to gain muscles and therefore weight (muscles are heavier than fat). It will be hard in the beginning, it always is, but don't lose faith (it takes cca 1month for you to notice that your body is changing), shoot photos of yourself to see that you truly are gaining muscles. Get a good workout routine (plenty of them on the internet). Just don't sit the whole day at home (not just because you think you are skinny which doesn't really look healthy, but think about how unhealthy you can become if you continue like this).

Do you think if I do around 75 push-ups and 150 sit-ups, I will notice difference?

you might notice a quick tone up but it will go away as quickly as it came because you will plateau. remember, high weight low rep for bulk (gain weight) and low weight high rep for tone (lose weight).

you will for sure but it will probably take longer. Don't forget about other muscle parts too such as your back and legs, I can't really imagine someone with a big chest and shoulders and a small back... look up some exercises you can easily do with your own body at home (i would recommend you something but i got no idea how they are called in my own language :D)

Mfw I am 21, almost 22, six foot tall even, and weigh 132.something pounds.

I also have the energy reserves of an ADD kid after chugging a 12 pack of energy drinks....at all times.

By the way the gif is me when hyper.

Even if you eat as much as you want, bet its not half as much as fat guy eats. There are two types of lazy, people who dont intentionaly exercise and those who DO NOT MOVE. Bet your shoes are worn quickly.

You might wanna work out a bit more. Do a bit of weight training, etc. At 6'5, and with your metabolism, you have some potential.

I'm not sure who I hate more:
People who can have a metabolism to eat ******* anything, but struggle to put on muscle or weight
People like me, if I eat something, it'll look like I've eaten four of them, but I put muscle of quicker etc.

Still, it makes three weeks of no working out due to respiratory issues a bitch, I need to start rowing etc now...

TL;DR - Look, a funny gif!

Actually I'm the guy on the left, never work out, stay at home most time and IF I go out with friends it's eating and drinking and I'm in perfect shape, semi muscular and not even slight overweight. So yeah, sometimes it's just the genes :)

If you add up the amount of food you eat over a year compared to fat guy yours will be obviously smaller. Bet you dont midnight snack often. Also, I bet you are on the move a lot, even if its just walking to the bus stop of shuffling on the couch. Over a year it will be 50x as much as fat guy. Mostly food though, no one was fat in 1850. Ozzy and NZ are obviously thinner than people in the US yet we all come from the same stock. end of rant.

Nutrition should consist of meals every 2-3 hours. Complex carbs from morning to afternoon, after which healthy fats (unsaturated, monosaturated, polisaturated). Every meal should have one source of protein (so either proteins and carbs or proteins and fats; never carbs and fats). Drink 3-4 liters of water a day.

Muscle/Fat you physically CAN'T gain muscle and reduce bodyfat, becase:
to gain muscle mass you must eat a MAXIMUM of 500 calories above your maintenance level;
to burn fat you need to eat a MAXIMUM of 500 calories less than your maintenance level.
I say maximum, because past those limits is either starvation or too much fat gain.

Conclusion as you can see it doesn't take a "gym rat" to have a great looking physique. Only perseverance and a planned out diet. Good luck and hope this information helps you my fellow FJ-ers.

I'm 16 years old, 5'10 and 140 pounds. Last year, I was about 5'4 and 150 pounds. I lost about the equivalent of 20 pounds or so, and I did nothing to make it happen. To this day, I lead a somewhat inactive lifestyle, eat like ****, stay on the computer all night, and aside from the sports I play, I rarely do anything to keep my weight down. So it is in my genes, I guess ._.

You are still growing. So the 'spare' food is being used to build your adult form. When it is reached (18-21) it will have no use for the 'spare' food and will put it into storage and so you will start becoming fat..... and the story will go.... you start to put on weight, you dont notice. Years pass then you try on some old clothing it doesnt fit. You realise you are fat. You think this has just heppened rather than the reality which is the slow build from years of bad habbis. You blame your genes and say there was nothing you can do. You curse thin people who have the wisdom to maintain their physic. ahh that ran was good releif.

remember this comment when you are fat...
