Only 19 days left until the Arkham Origins DLC comes out and I get to see if it'll make me not regret buying the season pass it aint gonna . I mean Mr Freeze was the best boss of the other two games, so WB Montreal couldn't possibly make it shit like they did with almost everything else. It won't just be more uncared for filler. Right? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

WB Montreal was/is the developer (of SP stuff. Splash Damage did the MP).

I get that
but like
is WB Montreal different from WB so much that you have to precise its the montreal branch?
User avatar #879334 to #879329 - alexanderburns (04/03/2014) [-]
Yes, because they are the branch that made the game. WB Interactive Entertainment owns them and published it.

EA owns Bioware and could change their name to EA RPG Team. Should Mass Effect and Dragon Age be not referred to as Bioware games?
User avatar #879336 to #879334 - Riukanojutsu (04/03/2014) [-]
difference is that bioware was a thing before EA
WB montreal wasnt.
WB montreal started to exist when WB decided to establish itself in Montreal.

I just think its pretty weird, its like 2 times now that I see people referring to WB montreal instead of just WB
User avatar #879337 to #879336 - alexanderburns (04/03/2014) [-]
Because WB Montreal made it. Just WB published it.

When I talk about Splinter Cell Conviction's devs, I say Ubisoft Montreal because they made it. When I talk about Splinter Cell Blacklist's devs, I say Ubisoft Toronto because they made it. I refer to the studio which developed the game when I refer to the studio which developed the game (unless I don't know it, like with Far Cry. Then I could just look it up).

Im looking for a new usb controller, since mine just broke, specifically the cord, and want to know what you guys recommend. it will mostly be used for older game emulations and maybe the odd steam game. i would like it to be as cheap as possible since i have no source of income.

i have heard that the logitech whatever is a pretty good choice, but it seems a bit expensive, to me at least.
so what do you guys think i should get?

www.gamespot.com/articles/ps4-dev-virtual-reality-and-augmented-reality-the-future-of-gaming/1100-6418710/

What will the future of gaming look like? According to EverQuest studio Sony Online Entertainment's development director David Georgeson, virtual reality and augmented reality experiences are what's in store down the line.

"VR and AR are things that I personally am extremely excited about. I honestly think that’s the future of gaming," he told IGN.

During GDC 2014 last month, Sony officially announced its virtual reality head-mounted display Project Morpheus, which features a 1080p display and a 90 degree field of view. You won't need to pay $1000 for the tech and it won't launch this year, but that's all we know.

Xbox maker Microsoft is also reportedly working on an unspecified VR/AR initiative.

Outside of a handful of tech demos, Sony has not announced any games that will officially support the Project Morpheus. However, Georgeson teased that we could see Project Morpheus support for future SOE games down the road.

"I will tell you this though: I’m hugely interested in Project Morpheus," he said. "So… we’ll see what happens." SOE is currently working on EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark.

Driveclub developer Evolution Studios experimented with Project Morpheus, but the results left much to be desired, and now the game will not have any VR support whatsoever.

User avatar #879204 to #879200 - darthblam (04/03/2014) [-]
Oh yes, very much so.

Unfortunately the only issue is that it's a tad bit short, but it's part 1 of a 2 part series, the second part is coming out sometime this year.
And.. I'm pretty sure if you buy part one (which is currently $25) they give you part 2 when it's released. It's not another $25 for the rest of the game, y'know?

You get exactly what you expect and want out of a point and click puzzle game, and the dialogue and characters are fun.

Well.. Broken Age is kind of reminiscent of the Lucas Arts point and click games like the Monkey Island series, Grim Fandago (which was made by the same guy that made Broken Age), and others where it was a good story but it was funny and its humor never got stale.

I can't think of what else to say other than to take a look for yourself at some videos or something.
If it matters, they've got some good actors in it like Jack Black, Elijah Wood, and a number of others I can't remember by name.

www.gamespot.com/articles/ps4-survey-asks-users-if-they-d-like-to-see-a-player-reputation-system-advanced-matchmaking-and-more/1100-6418704/

Sony has sent out a survey to select PS4 owners, polling them on what features they'd like to see in future updates.

VGXNetwork posted the survey contents. Key among the possible features are a player reputation system, an advanced matchmaking system, the option to change your username, and the option to set your online status as invisible.

Sony is also keen to see it people would like more on-screen notifications, more people in party chats, and the options to chat and send messages across all PlayStation platforms.

The survey asks people to rank how interested they'd be in each of these features, from "very appealing" to "very unappealing", though I do have to wonder what kind of person would actually select the latter regarding any of those features, really.

The next PlayStation 4 update, version 1.70, will include the ability to switch HDCP off, video editing tools, and the option to save videos to a USB drive.

it's almost like they're trying to become xbox live, but remain free

except having 8+ players in a party, why would you want that? It's too many people, at around 6 people, people have to start talking over each other then it becomes a giant shouting match so everyone can hear each other.

Some do, PS+ definitely does.

But I'll be honest, I played on xbox/360 from 2003-2013, then went to PC. In short, I have no fucking idea what the hell PS+ actually is.

On the PS3, it's mostly minor things. Stuff like saving on the cloud, booting up already logged in, discounts and freebies, etc etc.

I think I like best how you can choose when to update, though. Chose around 8AM, haven't seen an update screen since.

I can tell Radiata Stories will be an interesting game. I finally got my ps2 working so I decided to start it up. I appreciate the fact that you have to bitch slap every door before you go in, but I imagine thats going to get annoying quickly.

Not as annoying as the voice acting tho gah damn.

from my (rather simple) understanding of tf2 trading, you can generally get sale price, or a little more, in keys.
i dont know how much skyrim went for last time it was on sale, but if you can figure that out, then up it a little, convert to keys, and you'll have your price tag
User avatar #879182 to #879180 - hahdumbbirch (04/03/2014) [-]
so skyrim should be about 20 keys?
User avatar #879186 to #879182 - avatarsarefornoobs (04/03/2014) [-]
um, no. consider that each key is 2.50 in the marketplace.
so, if skyrim was 20 dollars last time it went on sale, that would be 8 keys. still, i would try to get 9, or maybe more. after all there hasnt been a big sale in awhile.
again, im no trading guru. please someone stop me if im giving bad advice. this is just how i saw others doing it.
User avatar #879215 to #879186 - youngneil (04/03/2014) [-]
Usually, keys in trading are worth about $1.80 or so. That's TF2 Outpost though, and they usually have shit trades.
User avatar #879188 to #879186 - hahdumbbirch (04/03/2014) [-]
okay then, well, i have no experience with buying games for items in a game. that's why i came here, and you significantly helped me.
User avatar #879183 to #879182 - hahdumbbirch (04/03/2014) [-]
seeming as a key is $1.50 and skyrim is $30.00
User avatar #879187 to #879183 - avatarsarefornoobs (04/03/2014) [-]
are you sure skyrim was 30 dollars last time it was on sale?
and keys are 2.50.
User avatar #879190 to #879189 - avatarsarefornoobs (04/03/2014) [-]
i just checked however, its 30 dollars right now, NOT on sale.
so the sale price would be 15, at 50 percent off. i think 15 would be a good number to work with, since i dont think skyrim has or will be on sale for 75 percent off for a while. because why would someone trade 30 dollars worth of keys for a game that is going to be on sale frequently for probably about half that much, right?

so, thats 6 keys. try to sell for 7. maybe.
