Ok...one of my guy friends told me I friend zoned him. Guess what? He never let me even know he liked me like that. Guess what else? I had a crush on him for like 3 months when we first met each other. He seem uninterested. So I didnt risk it because hanging out with him was one of the highlights of my day. He is one of those eternally happy people which is why I am in love with him. So while some girls are bitches who like dating jerks so they can complain other are real trying to find someone nice, however the nice guys wont just give some sort of hint they like you.

BTW He and I have our second date next weekend.
User avatar #128 to #119 - Atishist (09/10/2011) [-]
It's no ones fault really, some people are just quiet about their feelings. Basically though, if either side thinks the other isn't interested, even if they are and are hiding it, they won't say anything out of that fear of being shot down. That part of life is hard.
#295 to #128 - simplyme (09/12/2011) [-]
yeah. then there the ones who like you and then you find out their obsessive.(that ex still IM's me every time i go on facebook-about the creepiest stuff too) or the ones that arnt jerks in the normal way. (one bf was southern had the cute accent and everything. he informed me that i would not be going to college because as a house mom of at least 6 kids i wouldnt need a job.)
User avatar #296 to #295 - Atishist (09/12/2011) [-]
It's those kind of guys that give the good ones a bad name. =/ I had made friends with a girl and was a good friend, then she got obsessive and started calling me her boyfriend, while I already had a girlfriend. That was a bad few days, getting her out of my life and making sure my current relationship wasn't ruined by her.
#297 to #296 - simplyme (09/12/2011) [-]
i have a friend. he gay. this one girl told him she really liked him and that she was terminally ill. brain tumor. so he dated her. she got creepy and obsessive. he dumps her. i have to be his gay beard for a while because she wouldnt back off and wouldnt accept that he was gay. plus he is way too nice so he was having trouble saying no. so then he could say he already had a gf. turns out she was lying about the tumor. later she found out she had some skin spots on her legs though. ironic huh? she attempted suicide 2 months ago and blamed it on him for not loving her. creepy girl.
User avatar #298 to #297 - Atishist (09/12/2011) [-]
The girl I mentioned also used suicide as a means to try to get me to accept her, I didn't care. It's times like that when it pays to be a bit heartless.

Some people are just leaches, they latch on to you and give themselves the illusion of love, all while the other person is with them just because they're too nice...or that would seem to be the more common reason.

I met my girlfriend online (she lives in OH, I'm in NC. That's the only part that sucks) and after talking to her for a few days, started having feelings for her. She had a boyfriend though at the time, so I said nothing. Eventually she said that her relationship with him wasn't that good and I ended up helping her break up with him, couple days after I told her my feelings for her and actually found out that she had developed feelings for me at the same time. So, it works out to tell people how you feel about them. If you get shot down though, well...hopefully things will get better. Either by finding someone else or them changing their mind, whichever it is.
User avatar #147 to #143 - youshallnotpass (09/10/2011) [-]
good for you bro, im just hoping to get a girl to go out with me.
User avatar #286 to #147 - Atishist (09/11/2011) [-]
You'll find the right one eventually. Honestly, I had given up on finding someone about a week before I met her.

User avatar #118 - jadejem (09/10/2011) [-]
guys.... some girls arent TRYING to have guys be in the friend zone... they just dont want to feel weird when they ask a guy if they like them, because it ruins the whole thing. if a girl you just liked as a friend said, "I really like you, want to go out?" wouldnt it make you feel weird if you didnt? and then it would make the whole friendship awkward. i know this isnt true about EVERY relationship, because its also the girls fault too sometimes.
User avatar #135 to #118 - youshallnotpass (09/10/2011) [-]
im only gonna say this once,
if a girl asked me out i would yes yes if they meant it. hell im lucky if i dont get slapped by a girl if i ask one out. not to say your point isnt valid, it is, but i know plenty of guys that have the same problem as me. im just tryin to help you see the other side of the argument as well
User avatar #138 to #135 - jadejem (09/10/2011) [-]
thats why i said its also the girls fault...
User avatar #142 to #138 - youshallnotpass (09/10/2011) [-]
wait.. oh **** im sorry i meant it for simplyme though it is also kind of valid in your comment as well i would accept even if the were only a friend if for nothing else to keep them from feeling bad
User avatar #145 to #142 - jadejem (09/10/2011) [-]
well then your one of the nicer guys. see what i think all of my friends would do would be like... "uh, well idk... i kindof dont think of you in that way..." and then id be awkward with us... and eventually we would completely split apart...
User avatar #150 to #145 - youshallnotpass (09/10/2011) [-]
thank you, still bad though as you can see in my picture im not much to look at but i try and be nice

Why do guys get friendzoned? Speaking as a guy with a strong feminine childhood (Dad passing away when I was 5. I'm 19 now), it seems that the most common answer is that guys who are douchebags stand out because they speak loud, and they don't care whether or not they piss off a girl or get rejected. Their more outgoing attitude gets the attention of several women because it stands out. The nicer guys seem to have the woman's feelings in mind when talking to her instead of being totally selfish and only focusing on what he wants. They actually care, but because nice guys tend to be (sometimes) more reserved and don't ask out as many girls, they go more unnoticed.

To put it another way:
Jerks will fire arrows at will, not caring if they hit the target or not, or how close to the bulls-eye it is. Since they fire more, they sometimes get lucky and hit the target, attracting attention because it's seemingly out of the ordinary.

Nice guys will take their time to line up their shot, and when they fire the arrow, it hits a bulls eye. However, by that time, the crowd is looking at the jerk shooting several arrows at once.

P.S. I'm not claiming that I'm totally right and everyone else is wrong. I just saw this as an opportunity to express my opinion. Also, please note that I said the most common answer, not the only answer.

P.P.S. Sorry for the long rant. I also want to apologize. Since I'm on a public computer, I have no image to use with this comment.

Have a nice day. :)

User avatar #132 to #115 - dzamie (09/10/2011) [-]
And by the time the jerk shoots somebody so they leave, the nice guy has already pulled out their arrow to take another shot. Can't split an arrow easily, you know.

this is what happens in a society that glorifies things like sex, all the men are either assholes trying to get laid or losers crying because they cant get laid. how about you idiots do something good with your free time to benefit the world instead of crying because you are single
