I really love the walking dead, but the ending of season three felt really cheap to me

The governer who just kills (almost) al his guys just because they have some comments on him? It didn't feel right or believable for me. Het could've won the battle but choose to kill his own man instead... It was quite an anticlimax for me....

Please don't hate,
User avatar #111 to #87 - TheNumerator (04/03/2013) [-]
Umm, well it wouldn't make sense if the governor wasn't insane. But he's a ******* psychopath at this point
User avatar #109 to #87 - elmarcocfc (04/03/2013) [-]
I can see where you're coming from, but remember, the Governor is one unstable ************ , and he just stormed the place of residence of his attackers only to be chased out again.
And how was it an anticlimax for you? When that scene happened, I "OMG WTF'd" everywhere!
#101 to #87 - anonymous (04/03/2013) [-]
He couldn't have won the battle. That's why he killed them.

It wasn't because they had comments. They ran. He was pissed that they got scared and ran off. He told them they needed to 'hunker down' and fight it out. They then said they didn't even want to fight anymore and he grew furious.

It would equal a commander leading a troop into battle and having all his troops run away and go full retreat at the sound of gun fire. There would be punishment to those that ran. Except this commander has literally gone insane and just lost his power over his people. If he can't control them, **** em. I believe that was his mentality. Did they expect to go back to HIS town after that? I find it very believable that he'd kill them after they ruined his plan.

I mean, he was very close to accomplishing what he wanted. He had the firepower and the numbers... they just ran away at the sound of gun shots. I'd be pissed too.

User avatar #100 to #87 - zeecan (04/03/2013) [-]
Its weird because right before he did that, that close up shot of his face where the sound kinda fades out.
I whispered "kill them all governor, kill them all"

I'm a weird person
User avatar #118 to #100 - jalthelas (04/08/2013) [-]
I saw it coming when it started zooming in on his face and his expression became more and more angry.
#96 to #87 - hoppytom (04/03/2013) [-]
That was the closest resemblance to the comic book Governor thus far. You have to realize, the Governor has no rationality or sanity left. This is the norm for him. If you haven't, try to read the run in the books that deals with Woodbury and the Governor and it may help you see this a little differently (and it's a heck of a read).
User avatar #95 to #87 - lasmamoe (04/03/2013) [-]
Most of the season 3 seemed like the writers had no clue what they were doing.
Pretty much like Dexter season 7, nothing but chaos and entirely new plot ideas for every episode.
I really think that they had a good thing going for season 1 and most of season 2, but then they thought "Okay, now they have survived the zombies and found a safe place.... what the **** do we do know?".

Just my opinion.
User avatar #94 to #87 - elkkuprkl (04/03/2013) [-]
It might not seem believable, but in my opinion, it was an fantastic way to show what the Governor really is. All this time he had to keep the illusion of a role citizen in return for his power, but when it finally came to the moment he lost that power, he snapped. I thought it was very well written. Sudden and unforeseen, just how the Walking Dead is. :-)
User avatar #92 to #87 - yunablade (04/03/2013) [-]
I liked the comic version of that part better, where the samurai girl just infiltrates the city, captures the mayor and tortures his ass.

BUt there is no Darryl in the comic so what do I do now?
User avatar #91 to #87 - connorsg (04/03/2013) [-]
i dont watch it, does this daryl guy die?
User avatar #93 to #91 - kingofish (04/03/2013) [-]
No, his brother
User avatar #105 to #93 - connorsg (04/03/2013) [-]
fair enough, i heard daryls a bamf so that would be lame if he died
#107 to #105 - itsbendingtime (04/03/2013) [-]
Yeah Daryl is pretty much unkillable. If he gets killed off half the fanbase would stop watching the show.
If he ever does get killed I would estimate that the show would run for one more season before it got dropped due to low ratings.

the actual battle at the jail was just boring, i was expecting something exciting to happen but nothing did, it was such a fail.

They probably spent more time traveling there than they did in there.
User avatar #85 - citry (04/03/2013) [-]

I was at where the Hunger Games was filmed.
It was actually a plantation that was abandoned for years.

Daryl was over the next episode. Rick can't get over his wife that died weeks ago
User avatar #97 to #83 - lasmamoe (04/03/2013) [-]
Yeah, that seemed a bit strange.
I bet everyone was expecting Daryl to go ******* and destroy the governor, but he seemed pretty much fine in the next episode.

Ok, I have a question FJ. I watched all episodes of Breaking Bad and it's the best series I've ever watched.
For some reason, I never started watching Walking Dead. Would you recommened this series to me? I mean everybody loves it, I see. But would it be a bit as good as Breaking Bad? Thank you FJ.

My experience with the series.

Season one: Awesome!
Season two: Starts a bit slow, but last few episodes are awesome
Season three: Awesome, but terrible ending

but backwards
now I am almost done with breaking bad

User avatar #65 to #51 - garymuthafuknoak (04/03/2013) [-]
It definitely doesn't live up to breaking bad.
I honestly don't get the hype, and I don't see the show as that big of a deal.
I also find it weird how all the zombies are like butter and can be cut in half with no effort.
User avatar #64 to #51 - rhiaanor (04/03/2013) [-]
The first episodes are usually like that, I tired of it come season 3, it became more of drama than anything. Not my kind of thing, sons of anarchy is one of the big shows right now, and i would personally suggest it, but dont ask me to explain it, im not good at that
#63 to #51 - anonymous (04/03/2013) [-]
Watch Sons of Anarchy.
User avatar #62 to #51 - slowbroking (04/03/2013) [-]
I'd give it a chance. It's not for everyone, and I wouldn't say it's as good as Breaking Bad but it comes pretty close. Just remember that it's not a story about zombies... Oh and no matter how boring the first half of season two seems to you, just get through it. It gets better.
#59 to #51 - toaki (04/03/2013) [-]
The only zombie appocalipse movie that is worth watching is Zombieland
I tried to watch walking dead once and I don't like it..
I think it will end up like "Lost" or "Heroes" I guess
User avatar #60 to #59 - mrcockman (04/03/2013) [-]
I'm almost done with the first episode. It's very ******* boring. But it's only the first episode.
#61 to #60 - toaki (04/03/2013) [-]
After disappointed by the pilot episode, I thought to give it another shot
same thing happen in the 2nd episode
so, I delete the whole 2 seasons file right away

If you want to, try Game of Thrones
it's the best!
User avatar #58 to #51 - theexo (04/03/2013) [-]
you should watch The Walking Dead, it's good. but it isn't as good as Breaking Bad
User avatar #55 to #51 - nerdicorn ONLINE (04/03/2013) [-]
No, it's not as good as Breaking bad. Honestly I like the show but I don't think It's amazing like everybody else. It's a good show but I think it only reason why it blew up the way it did is because it's a "Zombie" show.
User avatar #66 to #55 - rhiaanor (04/03/2013) [-]
I suppose, hmmm lets see, we as humanity have went through a werewolf phase, a alien phase, a vampire phase and now a zombie phase... what is next? It should be good, im honestly excited.
