Death Stranding and Zero Dawn are the only reasons I want a PS4. It pisses me off they are exclusives.

Unfortunately I can't afford a PS4, nor could I justify it to my wife to relocate some funds to save for it.

I don't want to cash out yet. Waiting till the new tax laws are in and then I plan to cash out in full next year.

Truth be told I could afford a PS4 if I really wanted to. But I would be moving money from my accounts I already had planned for frivolous spending, and I don't like doing that. I prefer when I buy something, it's planned ahead. Sometimes I cave and buy a video game every now and then.

If you don't care for used, put aside money in an account you can use for cash. Then just look around in facebook gamer buy/sell groups and you can snag one when it pops up super easy.

I'll probably end up doing something like that. I could just cut back a bit of my personal spending and reduce my eating out a bit to save. My wife won't like it, but she wants a PS4 too. So she can adjust.

I'm just more butthurt that these games are exclusives than I am at not owning a PS4.

I feel like the exclusives help sell the console, but the console itself is just SO DAMN GOOD. That it's worth having on its own merits tbh. Because I got a PS4(pro but it doesn't change the message) I was able to save good money by buying a 4K TV that wasn't 'smart blue tooth 3.0 hyper connected', and the thing can upscale blu ray discs to 4k quality instead of what Xbox does which is require you to buy 4K discs (like double the price in store)

Plus if you or a friend has Plex or one of those things it can stream that for you as well, super worth getting one!

Zero Dawn is great, you also have TLoU, Bloodborne, Persona 5, and others. I recently caved and bought a PS4 because the imminent release of the new Monster Hunter pushed me over the edge, and I've been enjoying the **** out of it so far. I hate the practice of console exclusives, but I love the games themselves.

The PS4 is basically a reincarnation of the PS2 in that it is clearly the best console of its generation. It has a bunch of good exclusives, sure most of them are animu games (and some of those are Vita ports) but they're still damn good.

I didn't know death stranding was going to be a PS4 exclusive. Sony is by far the worst company on the face of the planet. All they do is jump on games early and then lock them into the ********* consoles ever made just so they can re-release an HD 'remaster' on the next edition of the PS4 20 times.

Also they value the FUKKIN' SWITCH playerbase over that of PC. It's such a joke. **** Sony.

PS2 was a perfect console, so was PS3. I bet the PS4 is fantastic as well.

Plus, if the PC playerbase in general is even half as bad as the "PC-Masterrace"-people on here make it seem to be, it´s kinda obvious that nobody wants to give a **** about them.

Not dire straights, just not how I find to be the way to best allocate my income. I prefer to keep additional funds that are not used for investing or saving to go to family budgets.

However, I do end up spending about $30 a month in cigars and another $120 a month eating sushi. I suppose I could cut back on those for a while if I really wanted.

I'll miss my Havana Honeys though.

I mean, if you smoke cigars that's pretty easy to cut back on by getting a cheaper brand. Hell to help save money I went from full on cigars to cigarillos and mini cigars for about a year kinda sucked tho . Sadly I can't comment on the sushi, when I was living in Japan I'd spend that much if not more per month on sushi go rounds......

Or, and consider this for a moment, my want for a PS4 does not exceed my want or need for other things that I am accustomed to having.

I'm bitching that these games are an exclusive. As in order to play the $60 game I first have to shove out and additional $300. I could honestly buy the damn thing right now if I wanted, but that's not how I've designed my budget and I prefer sticking to my financial plans.

Jesus, it never occurred to me how much money I eat in sushi till now. I just never thought about it. I'm great with budgeting but I let this part get out of hand.

You probably should, dood, I was going to be worried if a grown ass man with a family wasn't able to put away $20-30 a month for a year or so to get a PS4. There's some extremely tight budgeting, but that just seems like it'd be too damn tight to live at all comfortably. Cut back on sushi and smoke maybe half as much and you should be golden.

Wait. It´s worth it. I bought the PS3 after the PS4 came out, got it dirt cheap and now I´ve got literal ********* of gaming fun for barely any money at all. Seriously, I´ve got a PS3, two controllers and around 20 games and I´ve barely paid 150 euros for it all at this point.

Yeah, technically I do have the money to just go buy one if I wanted. But just because I have the money doesn't mean that's how it's best allocated or the responsible decision.

I keep a "fun" or "travel" fund for my family which is how I would redirect the funds normally, but with holidays and some of my wifes family been having medical problems, it isnt a financial decision I want to make in adjusting my budget.

Literally one of the major reasons why I am not going through with the purchase. There probably is other games on the PS4 I would play, but only a couple really interest me right now. Same for the switch as well. I want to play the Zelda BOTW, but it's not enough reason for me to buy a whole console for it.
