In inFAMOUS 2, it is possible to find a store named "red ring electronics". Seeing as the inFAMOUS series is Playstation-exclusive, this is a reference that pokes fun at Xbox's red ring of death.

Repairs in only 12 weeks...
That being said and laughed at, I've had my Xbox for a few years now and it's perfectly fine... It won't open unless there's a disc inside or I shove a paper-clip down it's throat

I got a couple you might like.

In Half Life 2 in City 17 at the beginning, you walk across a children's playground, if you listen closely you can hear children laughing.

In WoW, there's a plaque for a developer who died, in The Barrens, it's marked by the ghost woman who resurrects you. I don't know if it's currently in game, after they changed the world in Cataclysm

In Diablo 1, if you click a cow enough your character says "Yes, that's a cow".

Wirt's Third Leg appears in World of Warcraft as a rare weapon.

In Mario 64, Boo's laugh is just a sped up version of Bowser's(I assume a lot of people already know this)

Kefka's laugh from FF6 shows up in FF7.

There's an item called "Wirt's Other Leg" in WarCraft III (Frozen Throne, I believe), and it's obtainable during one of the missions of the Blood Elf campaign.

The glitch room from blizzard in ogrimmar, with the initials WKM , is rumored to be a employee or staff member from blizzard who died in the making of the expansion Cataclysm.
#57 to #56 - asleep (08/13/2013) [-]
wasn't that room in WotLK too?
User avatar #59 to #57 - drperzik (08/13/2013) [-]
so far i know it was added with cataclysm with the revamp of ogrimmar.
It could be, but i dont know.
#97 to #59 - minecraftlamer (08/13/2013) [-]
if im not mistaken the revamp of orgrimar made it easier to get there therefor alot of people knew about it in a very short time (this caused confusion among most people as to when it was implemented)

<- pic is me at the start of mop expansion (kharne)
User avatar #65 to #56 - bugsbybugs (08/13/2013) [-]
the WKM thing has been there for the longest time, and it's probably for someone who died a long time ago. you don't see blizzard making any more shines like those any more, unless they're really well hidden

A little add-on to the "cow level" thing in Diablo.

In Starcraft and its expansion, typing in the code "there is no cow level" would skip the current campaign mission or win the current custom game.
