Really, what was the point of buying turnips?
#42 to #25 - anon (05/09/2013) [-]
It was kind of like the stock market. You bought a certain amount of turnips, and then you either planted them for more until you had more, or sold them to Tom Nook, as his price that he buys them for per day fluctuates. If you knew how to do it it you could make good money.

just keep travelling through time till the day they are worth millions. pay off all your debts and then never have to worry again.

but the weeds. THE WEEDS
User avatar #26 to #8 - skydiving (05/09/2013) [-]
And then there are those stupid pitfall things. Seriously, wtf is the point of those?
#20 to #8 - anon (05/09/2013) [-]
I had a cheat which instantly removes all weeds.

I can just remember paying off my house debt before my siblings because I played the turnip market like a master

Know that feel.
Just desperately trying to find a game to make the next 30 days pass by painlessly.
#24 to #21 - messerauditore (05/09/2013) [-]
I feel like it's even more desperate of a need than usual though. I saw the preorder box at gamestop a few weeks ago on a shelf (the box thats literally just an empty case of the game), thought nothing of it, and went back to my college dorm. A few nights later, i was bored and asked friends if theyd get it (id get it if i had someone to play with). THEN, i discovered that it wasnt going to be out until june. I think the sole fact that i cant just go out and buy it right now makes me want it even more.

tl;dr i thought it was out already, and now i want it even more because i couldnt just go impulse buy a copy the other week

My friends are all pretty much sick and tired of me going on and on about it haha.
It's always the wait before the game that makes you want it even more...
Just 30 days!!
Hang in there, friend.

The last month/2 weeks is always the worst though. You'd think I'd have a tolerance for it by now as I'm one of "those people" who go out and preorder the next assassin's creed game the day its announced, but no. It's still torture.
User avatar #51 to #49 - tokitoki (05/09/2013) [-]
Ahh yea! It's that "so close, yet so far" moments. Even though you've already waited for a year or whatever, suddenly it just gets so much worse.
I usually don't preorder games until a month/2 weeks before release, but I tend to burn myself out by watching gameplay videos or finding whatever's even remotely related to the game.

Kinda spoils part of the experience though. It's a weird love/hate thing.
User avatar #56 to #51 - messerauditore (05/09/2013) [-]
Yeah i try not to delve too far into the details for games. I just watch the trailers and read the basic info about a million times... But with animal crossing you pretty much know what you're going to get haha. Although becoming the mayor is a really sick and fresh concept to bring to the series. (I can finally play at night and actually have more than 20 minutes to do all my daily shopping :D)

It's always been about fishing for me..

And I can't express how happy I am that they brought back the mansion house from WW. I was so pissed when I discovered the house option for CF.
User avatar #67 to #66 - tokitoki (05/09/2013) [-]
4 mansions and they're even bigger than the one in WW..
So many decorating possibilities :D
I'm really excited to have one whole mansion just dedicated to food

(And there's pants, of course)

Will this one have dlc furniture etc? i remember them saying they were going to do that for city folk, only to not follow though with it.
User avatar #69 to #68 - tokitoki (05/10/2013) [-]
They've already released a bunch of DLC furniture in Japan, so I'd think so.
But they seem to be giving NA the short end of the stick here. So far we're the only ones without a preorder bonus :/

Of course -_-

how did this happen
that concrete panel looks new
either that **** grew fast or the city paved over a non-flat surface
someone help me. i am prepared to discover that i am being retarded.
User avatar #58 to #54 - AvatarAirBender (05/09/2013) [-]
Looks like the tree fell over. This picture is taken after they had cut off the actual tree and left the trunk. The roots of the tree is what pulled the concrete up, and the roots have been there for a long time.

Also, for about 30-45 days after the concrete is laid it is considered "green" and is much softer compared to hardened concrete. Since this concrete looks new like you said, it would have been easier pull the concrete up, possibly causing the tree to actually fall over.
