My parents are a bit... crazy about stuff. I don't ask about any games, but once...
You know, I wanted LoZ Skyward Sword, and she looked at it at some website, y'know, the big shops who sell lamps, clothing and computers in the same story.
She first got kinda mad and "Are we hacking off people's heads now?" as soon as she saw swords.
Thank god my sister got a little more logic than that. Next day, everything was cleared up.
My mom doesn't take the USK-Ratings seriously. She rather looks at the game.

My parents just ignored age restrictions completely. My dad is way stricter with my younger half-siblings now though, he won't let my 11 year old sister watch 12 rated movies. In my case, letting me watch violent stuff made me turn out fairly normal, and the kids who aren't allowed to watch/play mature rated content are ****** up.
