Whats the point of sneaking by the bank security and the tellers when you can blow their faces of . #thosegoddamntellers

For the longest times My crew and I would use the grenade tactics to stealth a bank. Run in and all throw grenades to kill everyone at once. Works like a charm.
User avatar #37 to #15 - thewickedgoose (08/02/2014) [-]
naw dawg, you only have to kill the two bank tellers, just tell every one to get down and tie them up, lead them into the office, pile them up in a corner, the put C4 on them when you leave. stealth in action.

what about the guy in the security room or civs on the street?

You kill every guard first, then grenade and kill every civ
That way camera's wont detect you and **** .

so ive played everything at least once (including all the DLC missions, despite not owning them,), iw, but i'm starting to get bored of this game. i'm about level 70 now, played just long enough to get tier 6 for at least one class

i dunno, it seems pretty lacking in content, was pushing it before i even got this far. I know the maps do have some random variations like vault/guard placement, but each run of the same map still feels mostly the same.

well it was certainly worth the £4.50 i spent on it NYQy, no regrets
User avatar #28 to #26 - MoparMan (08/02/2014) [-]
Respec and play a s a different class. Or keep getting to 100, and work on a dual-class build. At II-100, you can make a seriously nice build if spend points wisely

I actually bought Payday 2 recently after trying the demo and getting to Level 10. Funny thing about the demo is the community on it, on a ******* demo, is very tight knit and they will just do **** over and over again on the bank heist without batting an eye.

Sadly nothing carries over to the main game.

But now that I have the retail copy, I keep getting kicked left and right all because I don't have X, or I don't have access to Y.

I just love being a Level 3.

How opposed are you to free loot and levels?

I stealth heists solo sometimes for the fun and security of it, and I let people in at the very end to get exp and cash. Sound good?
User avatar #31 to #29 - ivehadworse ONLINE (08/02/2014) [-]
Parkingmeter helped me get from Level 2 to Level 11 in two heists. Was kinda fun seeing things not go south real quick.

And I'm not really opposed to the idea, but I would like to earn some of my levels legit. I'm completely content failing a few dozen times in order to get that next level or next bit of bank. :p
User avatar #32 to #31 - MoparMan (08/02/2014) [-]
Ok, but keep in mind, some heists are much harder if you don't have certain unlocks.

Where are you, and what build are you? I can teach you how to stealth the bank, if you're a Ghost, but if you're not on East Coast USA I can't do much for ya.
User avatar #42 to #32 - ivehadworse ONLINE (08/02/2014) [-]
I just got a few points into Ghosts. Nothing major. And I live in Georgia.
User avatar #43 to #42 - MoparMan (08/02/2014) [-]
okay, i'll add you later. ghost makes a lot of stealth easier, if thats what youre into
User avatar #44 to #43 - ivehadworse ONLINE (08/02/2014) [-]
Personally, I don't mind going loud. A shotgun and two sentries seems like good solid defense. And the sentries could provide a distraction.
User avatar #45 to #44 - MoparMan (08/02/2014) [-]
the sentries sound good, but they can get shut down easily. Trust me; on Overkill or Death Wish difficulty, they get destroyed way too fast, not to mention they use way too many skill points. Do yourself a favor and avoid using them seriously.

Shotguns are hilariously overpowered for most heists, and even more so if you go up Enforcer. and you don't need the shotgun dlc to be overpowered btw, the Locomotive is the best gun in the game with or without dlc.

Ghost enforcer is a fantastic combo, btw. Just enough points in Ghost to get every stealth done, and putting the rest in Enforcer makes you practically unstoppable if you pay attention.
User avatar #46 to #45 - ivehadworse ONLINE (08/02/2014) [-]
Went through a heist a moment ago. Used a Shotgun unmodded. Things died quickly. And managed to punch a SWAT guy in the groin.
User avatar #49 to #46 - MoparMan (08/03/2014) [-]
In case you didnt already know, only one shotgun pellet needs to hit the enemy to do full damage of the shotgun.

Like, TF2 has 10 pellets of 6 damage, so you have to hit each one to do the 60 dmg.
Payday2 has 8 pellets of whatever damage your shotgun does, BUT hitting more than one pellet on an enemy will not do any more damage.

also, another cool thing with shotguns is, headshot damage trumps bodyshot damage. So if you shoot someone in the chest and the head with the same shot, it will count the headshot dmg instead of the bodyshot dmg. so it's recommended to nerf the accuracy and just go for damage admin's minions because as long as you understand your range efficiency, practically every shot is a OHK.

I gave up on trying to stealth missions a long time ago. Granted I did invest somewhat into the ghost tree, I stayed mostly engineer/enforcer.

Hey, I'e carried a team or two through a bank heist.
User avatar #4 - pwnagraphy (08/02/2014) [-]

It's ******* impossible to stealth the bank when the vault is in the front
User avatar #5 to #4 - trostell ONLINE (08/02/2014) [-]
Are you serious? Yeah, it's slightly more difficult, but it's far from impossible. It's not GO Bank, for Christ's sake. Take out one camera at a time, to lure a guard outside, take down two of them, the third can do ***************** , take out the security room (but make sure you have someone watching for the guard, he might walk outside), and then stack up to take down all the civs at once. Shoot the tellers if you have to. After that it's just making sure they're all tied/someone screaming at them constantly, and you've successfully stealthed the entire heist without using a single ECM jammer. Use 'em on the ATMs for extra loot.
#18 to #5 - comradewinter ONLINE (08/02/2014) [-]
I think he means real stealth. The standard "stealth" method isn't stealthy, it's just eliminating all possibilites of having a police force invading. It's possible to do a stealth approach without charging in and taking civilians down, but only if it's in the back.
User avatar #47 to #18 - trostell ONLINE (08/03/2014) [-]
The thing is, that's how a 'stealth" heist would likely go down in today's America, because of the sheer number of security cameras and various other security devices. They'd use the hostages as a bargaining chip in case things did go bad, but if they pull it off, nobody who saw them would be able to identify them, particularly with how the mask would distort their voices. And even if they did spot them before masking up, and managed to remember enough details for a sketch, none of the Payday gang have ties to anyone in the area, Wolf doesn't even have ties in the country outside of Bain, who couldn't possibly be discovered unless the police were actively monitoring radio transmissions and happened to be in the path of this directed wave, and even then nobody knows who Bain really is or where he transmits from. He could be transmitting from a drone, for all we know. It's literally impossible to perform true "stealth" in Payday 2 because it's in the middle of Washington DC. There's too much **** to avoid every possible camera/witness/nondescript van.
#48 to #47 - comradewinter ONLINE (08/03/2014) [-]
Of course a ******* bank heist is impossible to pull off without anyone seeing you. When the vault is in the back room, however, it's possible to stealth it with a silenced drill. Only the guards will go back there, and you can take those out. In a real bank, they would have the opening much more visible, so that wouldn't be possible. But on PAYDAY 2 it's very possible to do so. Had the game been realistic, they wouldn't add Cloakers, Bulldozers or Tazers, trade a dangerous criminal capable of killing dozens of law enforcers for a single civilian, or leave obvious escape vehicles alone. It's a game.
