You mean my review of the concept Han?
User avatar #3 to #2 - majortomcomics (05/18/2013) [-]
Because I'd gladly do that for a fellow star wars nerd! ^_^

So, let me start off by saying, this figure looks awesome. The picture does not do him justice, like in the case of the rebel trooper. Also, he has a 30's sci-fi T.V serial look to him, which is the kind of stuff George based Star Wars off of. Anyways, when McQuarrie was contracted, the thought of pretty much everyone having lightsabers was being considered, since the importance of a lightsaber had not yet been elaborated on. Consequently, this figure came with a lightsaber, as it was drawn in McQuarrie's concepts. Now, the lightsaber just looks awesome, a very translucent blue, and it comes with the ignited saber, and a lightsaber hilt, so that you can have one to put on his belt, and one for when he is using it. The blaster it comes with is also very nice, retro, 30's, typical old-school ray gun type deal, but sleeker. Now, onto the figure. A cape, I'd say the color is just a shade or two darker than the rest of his jump suit. Very cool touch with a nice armor, chest box thingy, Darth Vader or X-Wing pilot type deal going on, but with less buttons. The paint applications are superb, with all the colors complimenting one another. The cape is removable, and with it goes the chest box thing, since it's connected. He looks just as cool without it. Even though it is removable, you shouldn't have problem with it moving out of place. Onto the rest of the figure, cool new head sculpt, with a Kyle Katarn-esque beard going on.
Articulation: 12 points of articulation, again, no ankle joints (He displays a wider stance, but not too wide, making him even easier to stand up than he already is, and it's not too wide or anything, so he doesn't look like he's ready to ride a horse or anything). I realized I hadn't gone over the types of articulation in the Rebel figure, however, which can be inconvenient. So, Ball jointed head, swivel hands, waist, and legs, and ball-hinged elbows, shoulders, and knees. I would give this figure a solid 9/10, personally. The reason being, I just prefer armored, security type figures (which is why the rebel concept figure was a 10/10 when he would have usually been a 9.)
I hope my review was not too tedious for you to read, this is the first time I've given toy reviews, so this is a new experience for me.

Not too tedious at all, I need to find these two and add them to my collection, right next to my republic commandos. I'm especially liking the lightsaber, it just looks beautiful. Hell, he just looks so kick ass this way. not as much as the actual han, but just as good.

Oh, for sure. An awesome looking concept, and here, you might want this...
The guy seems to have a good return policy, or these...
Totally worth the price for the two figures, just tell me which one you'll buy (Or if you're even going to) because I planned on ordering one of those or the other just so I could have another, or two more, but if you bought the $13 one with two of them, I'd recommend that. Since I already have one, I'd be content buying just one more single figure, since I would know the one that had two was going to a fellow star wars nerd. Just tell me though if you plan on buying and which one, since I don't want to buy one, keeping you from getting the one you planned on getting. Seriously, though, if you have money, order them, you will be completely satisfied, and this is coming froma guy who HATES spending money!
Also, this figure looks to be in great shape, and with all included accessories!
I bought mine loose, both still had the plastic band around the hand holding the gun, and all the parts included. Amazing buy, even for loose figures.(...You will find that the ones that are still on the card are being sold mostly in the high twenty dollar range, but if you open your figures, like me, loose is the best option.)
Oh, and a thumb for the Breaking Bad .gif. My favorite show.

thanks, i'll look into them on payday, hopefully they won't be sold by then
User avatar #10 to #9 - majortomcomics (05/18/2013) [-]
I certainly hope they are not! I am not looking into another Han Solo figure, that one's all you. But which ones would you buy if they weren't sold by the time you get money? I'd just like to know since I will know which one to buy, since I planned on ordering one or the other tonight.

Very cool! Like the ones you see at the beginning of the game, when they are first issued their armor. I honestly buy like, only original trilogy or figures that can pass for original trilogy, like random people, but I would buy this guy if I saw him in one of my collectible stores..
User avatar #45 to #44 - huntergriff ONLINE (06/05/2013) [-]
really? i normally buy clones and stormtroopers.
User avatar #46 to #45 - majortomcomics (06/05/2013) [-]
Yeah. Especially aliens and cantina patrons:p
User avatar #41 to #40 - majortomcomics (06/05/2013) [-]
That'd be cool, wait, was it this one?
User avatar #37 to #36 - huntergriff ONLINE (06/05/2013) [-]
No, sadly.

Also, since the first link one has 22 days, and the other has six, if you are unable to get it within that time, the first link would be a good choice. I just gave you links to the most wallet friendly ones, not that the others weren't. Just type in "McQuarrie rebel figure and there are other listings for single, loose ones, ranging from $6-$7. So, even if the six days does not work out, you should still be able to get the figure(s) for an awesome price.
User avatar #15 to #14 - huntergriff ONLINE (05/19/2013) [-]
ah, thanks again
User avatar #13 to #11 - majortomcomics (05/19/2013) [-]
Also, that one has six days left. If you are unable to get it later, just reply on this thread or leave me an account comment and I'll order those ones. (Then I'll have four, since I am buying the single one for sure!)
User avatar #12 to #11 - majortomcomics (05/19/2013) [-]
Cool! Well, I hope you buy them in time! I am content with that answer, this is the kind of figure you need at least two of. Have a good day, and good luck getting the figures!
User avatar #5 to #4 - majortomcomics (05/18/2013) [-]
Okay, it'll take a minute. I planned on doing one anyways, so I will do one for you, since I now know someone will want to read it! Stay online a few minutes and you'll get a quick review of the figure...
