As far as I know it's just the credits you get from beating the campaign. I haven't seen anyone say anything about the rest of the credits though.

That's why I haven't confirmed it yet. I'm hoping they would be smart enough to leave the credits you get from playing the matches alone or at least raise it a little.

Willing to wager its going to be coyly reduced, they will still try to force lootbox sales as the game was clearly designed around lootboxes instead of being an added thing.... companys just don't get it. Just make lootboxes have sick ass skins, cosmetics, I don't know.. lightsaber or beam weapon colors. People will eat that **** up hard and not even complain.

I don't get people being annoyed by EA at this point. Like what they put out? Good, buy it, don't complain. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Simple as that. In this day and age you can know every detail about a game before you buy it, so there's no excuse. Anyone pissed off at EA because of what they bought is an idiot, and those complaining when they haven't bought anything are just pointlessly whining

I think we agree but share somewhat different viewpoints. I don't have any issue with what EA does. Anyone gets disappointed by what they do and it's literally their own fault. EA doesn't falsely advertise in any sense, and with resources to every detail about every game available online there's nobody to blame but the consumer.

I don't think EA needs to be run into the ground. I genuinely have no issue with them or what they do. I haven't bought a game from them since the ps2 era. They are literally a non-issue to me. I support and buy the games I like. If there's a market for that, other people will too. EAs existence doesn't stop the existence of other, better game companies in any way, so I don't see a reason to be pissed. Makes as much sense to me as being pissed off at a vacuum company for some **** because they have bad business practices. I really don't care, and don't see why other people do either.

i agree with your viewpoint here, but there's still the issue of EA buying out good but smaller companies that they find promising. those companies have a worryingly high rate of "failure" under EA's auspices; they tend to become defunct or shed designers over time.

this process consumed Maxis, Pandemic, and might eventually get DICE too. it also applies to property rights: a lot of people wanted Obsidian to handle the new KotOR game but it was ultimately EA's choice to make it an MMO, which was underwhelming in the end.

so it could be said that EA is a threat to the industry, or at least not as benign as you suggest. i know i'm not the only one who thinks this, but it's still just one perspective. maybe EA will improve after enough backlash. i kinda doubt it since they've been given no incentive to reform, like you said

I have to agree considering it is a free to play game. That's the difference. At one point EA changed the SWTOR lootboxes to actually give you a Random Roll for a FULL suit of armor,or guns, or whatever else. But that made people too happy and they werent making as much off the lootboxes as people were for once actually getting cool ****. so they changed it again so that your lootboxes roll from a massive pot of every item in the game. spend 200 Cartel coins off a 5 dollar purchase of 450 coins to get a limited use firework, a stupid monkey looking pet, and maybe a dye skin for the colours of medium **** brown and neon green. Awesome. But it is a F2P game so I can't really bitch.

Even funnier is that they mainly rely on income that EA Sports games bring (FIFA which is basically same game every year with a player tables updated; something that can be done by a good automated website crawler) and then buy other genres, only to shut them down when games with stuff like... STORY... can't be rereleased every year with names changed.
Apparently they believe they will just drive everyone out of business... because demographics that plays Mass effect or Battlefronts will go to stores in droves to get the yearly edition of FIFA.

party sports are like, Mario sports games, something that isn't so serious. I mean fifa or nascar games are one step away from making you file tax forms in game for added realism you know.

in short almost everyone has fifa i dont play fifa but i have it, my friends that never play video games have a ps4 and fifa, married men with kids that dont know a single game, own a ps4 in fifa, its fifa mate

FIFA has to be the worst game I have ever played. I simply dislike soccer games, but you are right, almost everyone has it. I don't have it, cause I don't want to support EA. Everyone else I know that does play PS4 has it though.

Honestly, only "sports game" i play or played were car racing games (and bit of Wipeout series). But then I like those because of realism (i'd love to do it in RL, but I can't afford it). Hence I went Gran turismo and then to Asseto Corsa and Project cars, for added realism.

I can understand that people have their tastes and all, I liked wipeout myself but it wasn't JUST a racing game it was combat racing, I need more than just driving circles or kicking/throwing a ball you know. Spice it up! Its a mostly untapped market these days.

I know the feels, I am same way (currently my active ones are WoW, OW and FF XIII).
Racing simulators are more exceptions to the rule and I don't even consider them in the same type of hobby for myself.
