As a game? Its excellent.
As a TES game? Under mediocre.

Also, a good RPG for those hungry of gameplay hours : Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Got over 400h of gameplay.

i think it's right up there with oblivion, and i LOVE oblivion.
i don't like the atmosphere as much though,if it could be skyrim graphics and gameplay in a different environment like cyrodiil or hammerfell it would be a lot cooler, although i still love skyrims unique areas.

but above all,i just want to see kvatch rebuilt and have a house there. it was totally the coolest city next to skingrad.

That's what i said, if you start the TES series with skyrim, it'll be awesome and morrowind and oblivion will seem disappointing at first look because of graphics. But if you played morrowind starting with Daggerfall ( Arena is really ...really far away ) then skyrim is way under expectation.

I got that game for my birthday and never really played it. Is it that good?

Pretty much like Fable, God of War, Diablo, TES type and other rpg's combined into Amalur. Main story line? About 10h. But there are ENDLESS ( not really, but a LOT of them ) secondary quests, tasks and faction quests which just scream to be done. The combat it's awesome and for a price, you can recreate your character at any given time, provided that you have acces to a fateweaver. Also the storyline is good, even if at the beggining seems somewhat boring.

Worths a try, especially if you like MMO's ( its single player, but has lots of MMO elements, initially being an MMO )

I really love the animation, all I can say so far, but I'll give it a whirl. The skill system is also really good.

Also it has some elements from Darksiders :). First time i played i got sucked in, and even if it's not the most detailed game, some exteriors are just amazing. Also it's somewhat openworld, yet you are limited by invisible walls when trying to jump from a cliff or take a shortcut. Pretty much thats the bad side.
