cool, the only way my family would get me stuff like that would be as a gag gift (which i would secretly love)

i basically just flat out told my family that i liked MLP and let them choose wether to accept that fact or not and other than my dad (who i think partially resents me) my mom, sister, aunt, and two cousins which i see a lot are totally cool with it but i am the butt of most jokes in the house

my folks really dont care what i'm doing. i told my mom about this stuff, my dad has seen me in my dr whooves shirt and when he asked about it i told him it was an inside joke and not to worry about it

i dont really hide be a glorious unicorn but i dont go telling everyone i am either. so if someone finds out im a glorious unicorn i dont really deny it. like i have a RD sticker on my minifridge so its not hard to figure out im a glorious unicorn

i dont tell everyone that i am a glorious unicorn but i figured im going to be watching episodes, looking at pony content and drawing ponies at home and my family is always at home so it was better to tell them ahead of time instead of them finding me doing one of those things and then me trying to awkwardly explain what is going on. as far as my friends go i have told a large number of them i am a glorious unicorn because they were all picking on one of my friends who is friends with the guys i told and is a glorious unicorn. i couldnt stand them ragging on him so much so i was like "hey why dont you shut the **** up cuz im a glorious unicorn and you guys all tell me im cool. ive been watching the show for almost a year and you guys havent noticed a difference in me. whats so bad about it?" and they are now cool with both of us being glorious unicorns.

ya thats how it can be, people like making fun of things they dont understand at first and dont know anyone that does that stuff. like my friends made fun of people that read comic books until i told them i read them now several of them read them

i love being a moderator for my friends. for the most part they are really cool but every once in a while they find something they are closed minded on so i try to alleviate that most of the time.

well thats good of you to do. its like human nature to pick something different from themselves and make fun of it, or in more serious cases, demonize it
User avatar #15 to #14 - rainbwshypinkietwi (07/30/2012) [-]
i know and its a shame because in some cases the things that people lament without having given it a chance would end up liking it anyway.

yep i remember doing that all the time when i was young. i remember for i dont know what reason i didnt want to sea boondock saints and it ended up being one of my favorite movies

another good movie, it just that silly thing in all of us that makes us not want to try new things
User avatar #19 to #18 - rainbwshypinkietwi (07/30/2012) [-]
and i dont listen to that anymore thanks to mlp

thats good, that a show about magical colorful ponies can help us realize not to give a **** and like what we like and give things a fair shot. (like i was watching strawberry shortcake with my niece not that long ago and i paid a little attention to it. didnt like it)
User avatar #21 to #20 - rainbwshypinkietwi (07/31/2012) [-]
yeah, i was waiting for mlp to come on on the hub and strawberry shortcake was on and i watched almost all the episode and couldnt bring myself to like it, but i gave it a fair shot.
User avatar #22 to #21 - nerdrugger (07/31/2012) [-]
ya like one of them was such a bitch, and the episode i saw was nothing but little random parties
User avatar #23 to #22 - rainbwshypinkietwi (07/31/2012) [-]
theres no character development, no story that is any deeper than some ****** up looking midget fat head fruit themed girl is unhappy and they need to make her happy so the episode can end. its a ****** show made to sell dolls and nothing more

ya, all i know is that itll will keep my niece entertain.

i need to introduce her to MLP
User avatar #27 to #26 - rainbwshypinkietwi (07/31/2012) [-]
yes you do. you could possibly even make her not like strawberry shortcake anymore because of how awesome mlp is
User avatar #28 to #27 - nerdrugger (07/31/2012) [-]
if only. but luckily she doesn't watch it that much. she prefer watching old Disney cartoons. so its not too bad

but im lucky my nephew likes batman and spiderman
User avatar #31 to #28 - rainbwshypinkietwi (07/31/2012) [-]
those are some of the best disney movies in my opinion. and yeah that is a shame but what fun are comics without blood, violence, sex and nudity lol
User avatar #32 to #31 - nerdrugger (07/31/2012) [-]
true on both things there

well got to run so catch ya around
User avatar #29 to #28 - rainbwshypinkietwi (07/31/2012) [-]
well actually ur not in too much of a pickle, i still love old disney movies and ur nephew has really good tastes.
User avatar #30 to #29 - nerdrugger (07/31/2012) [-]
actually they prefer watching the old disney cartoons from the 30s. so nothing wrong with that. and im going to make sure my nephew is going to know everything about super heros

its a shame all the comics i own are way to mature for a 3 year old
