So, what happened with the phone bro? Is it done or not?

After I finished, pic related, the paint rubbed off when I was trying to preserve it.

Really nice though.

Thanks. I'm redoing it next week.

When you repaint it, post the results and pm me. Also, you could put some spray painting varnish on it, if you have any and put it in a case if you have one, to preserve it for longer.

That's because it isn't finished. And I only have access to acrylics, i'll post the finished thing for you at around 3. Read the description too before making a judgement on artwork.

I'm very tempted to paint my phone now o.O

What kind of color are you using?
Maybe you should try a different color, like Tamiya-colors... whould look much better, and hold propably much longer!
But anyway: Your phone is on the best way to become 20% cooler!

I only have access to acrylics and I mix the paints myself. I try my best. Pic may or nay not be related.

Do you have any access to varnish? You can use it as undercoat. In addition you can use Nail polish instead of paints, but it's a very final solution, because it could crack if the final product is strained too much.

Aww, I wish you told me sooner, the acrylic already dried. How hard is it to get out?

Look, I don't know when you will login again and it's getting late where I live, so I will write you down a guide and do as you wish. Acrylics need two layers of paint applied with a difference of 6 to 8 hours apart. I suggest to make a stencil for every part of the lightning bolt and one for the cloud, so 4 stencils, the size of your current drawing each. (You know stencils I suppose, you draw, say, the cloud on a piece of paper and then cut it out and you the paper with the hole, place it over you painting and draw over it. Just mentioned for safety in case you didn't know) Then use a medium sized brush, I guess around 5 or 6 and paint the second layers over the stencils. When the whole thing dries, use a pencil to draw the lines on the cloud (or you can use gray paint and a thin brush, but a wooden pencil with an unsharpened point works just fine, just don't apply pressure.) If you have clear spray varnish, spray the whole thing once from 6-8 inches away. DO NOT use liquid varnish with a brush, it will eradicate the drawing!!!

Let me ask something first, before we get to the brushes, are you happy with the final product?
User avatar #7 to #6 - Titanasgr (03/28/2012) [-]
What size brushes do you have available?

Bro, you lost me at cutting paper. I don't even know anything about the brush sizes, I'm using the brushes at school.

Say this is a piece of paper and I have drawn the shape of the of the red part of the lightning. Draw it, cut it out, discard the cut out lightning, place the paper with the hole on top of the drawing, so you can see only the red lightning through the hole. Take a brush around the size of the hole, dip it in red paint and draw over the hole. Once that layer dries, repeat for the other parts (blue lightning, cloud, etc). Once done, draw details on cloud.

Additionally, if you insist on the nail polish, don't remove the previous paint and draw over it.

Hope I helped, I have to logout. Ask whatever else you want, but i'll answer in 16-18 hours. See ya.
