I don't see why people keep berating Macs. Both systems have their weaknesses.

Because Apple is an asshole company that basically employs slaves.
But their software is pretty good.

Perhaps I should mention that I use Ubuntu more than anything else. I'm getting serious flak for this, considering the usual amount of down-thumbs I get.
To answer your response, yes, I'm completely aware of what Apple's manufacturing Partners are. Do you honestly think that a US-Based company would allow for such working conditions for their own employees? They design their products in California, and they are assembled by companies like Foxconn, Quanta, and Sharp. They don't always know what the employees' working conditions are.

Regardless, I'm sure that they're aware that working conditions could certainly be improved, but I don't think there are many American companies that would want to work for them at this point. (I'm sure it would create plenty of jobs, but would you want to work for Apple?)

TL;DR I honestly couldn't give a **** , if you aren't going to take the conversation seriously, then don't bother replying.

I don't use a Mac, actually. Mainly because every ******* Computer game in existence is for the PC, but IMO, Macs' OS X is much more stable than WIndows. I.E. They both have their weaknesses.

What do you mean with more "stable"?

Honestly, i've never had a problem with OS X. I use it for dev coding work, but that's about it, so I've never really had any problem, other than having to take a break once in a while because the Li-Ion battery starts to overheat on the laptop I use. All that, and Macs usually perform pretty well IMO, with both compiling code, and playing games. But Steam isn't supported on Macs anymore, and I don't feel like going through all the trouble figuring out how to make things run correctly.

Windows on the other hand, must ******* hate me. I've never had a bluescreen, but I've had a bout of WLAN card drivers failing me, forcing me to restart much more often than need be (and it doesn't help when I'm up-to-date with drivers either) My Ethernet card also fails often, and it bugs me when I'm in a public place and can't connect to their ISP directly when my WLAN card fails. All this without mentioning, that Windows is slow as **** and it seems like I hardly ever get anything done on one, considering that Microsoft's compiling commands just seem clunky and hard to use. Then again, it could just be the kind of PC that I have.

Pic semi-related. I feel drunk after writing all that for some reason.

Yes, and believe me I don't think anybody else did either. Most people are just going along with the bandwagon that Macs blow just because they can, without ever having used one.

TL;DR: Macs are better for dev work, while Windows has this wierd gaming community behind it that seems to think that Macs are horrible for no apparent reason, despite Windows being unstable.

TL;DR the TL;DR? Read it, you lazy SOB.

Never used Mac, never had an unfixable problem with Windows.

I haven't had an unfixable problem with Windows either, but that doesn't negate the fact that I have had to fix problems with somebody elses OS, espcially one that's developed and fielded by a huge Multi-Billion dollar corporation, that's supposed to be oh-so-great.

Never had to fix a problem with OS X, but we'll see how long that lasts. That's another downside to Macs too though, they're difficult to Modify if you don't know what you're doing, and when something does go wrong, you have to deal with **** like "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
User avatar #15 to #14 - sinery (08/24/2013) [-]
Never had a problem that have taken >10 min to fix.
Also none bothers to make viruses for Mac's. Not even them want any of that **** .
User avatar #16 to #15 - peanutbraddle (08/24/2013) [-]
It's still a bitch, and it's taking up my time more often than it should, as it shouldn't be happening at all.

And no one makes viruses for Macs because of the amount of people that use Macs. And the fact that Apple tends to actually take care of their own Security.

A tortoise is a type of turtle, making both turtle and tortoise valid identifications for Tank.
