Well, the world has been saved from other things by other ponies before.
Twilight wrote magic. Something that hasn't been done since the days of Starswirl the Bearded, and we don't know yet exactly how long it's been since he died.

There probably was a list of all the things she had to do before getting promoted. If she had fixed the spell first, she still would've only gotten her wings after helping save the world 4 times.
Maybe if the order of her deeds where different, Celestia would show up one day, say "Great, you've given Spike a mustache, we can make you an alicorn now."

I hope so. The sooner it ends the sooner this fad can end.

you know nobody is forcing you to be a part of it

I am not a part of it. I just think it is rediculus that grown ass men think it nessesary to watch a show that is aimed at little girls and they try to justify it by saying that it has things for grownups too when it doesn't.
I baby sat a group of 5 little cousins 3 of which were girls between the ages of 7 and 10. They wanted to watch MLP so I let them. Keep in mind this is back when the series started about halfway though the first season or so. I watched about 6 episodes with them and saw nothing bu cutesy little ponies and no adult humor, no jokes that sailed over the kids heads. It is aimed at little girls.

All the brony/pegasister fad does is give people a social group that they normally would not have had. Most tend to be the quiet socially awkward kids that sat in the back of the class and kept to themselves. It was a bid for social acceptance and once the fad ends they will be right back were they started.

Yeah you do realize she couldn't just BECOME a princess from saving it. She had to complete her studies in friendship. Cuz friendship is magic.

>she learned the value of friends and why she loved them
>the spell turned her into a unicorn and would have made starswirl one too.

She was already a unicorn. She was turned into an Alicorn.

If starswirl finished the spell, he would have been made into an Alicorn as well. Alicorns and unicorns aren't female oriented. (Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle's older brother, is a unicorn).
