Actually the best form of anti-terrorism for isis (and isis like groups) is to threaten their family groups and 'kingdoms' because that is what they truly care about. The families of terrorists you've (may have) seen on the news continue to live where they do with no restrictions or monitoring even in their communication with those "back home" (at least in america). If Trump said "hey if you do some **** here we will hold your family responsible" there will (be a huge outcry at first no doubt about that) be a lot less terrorism by these groups.

It's not really a mystery to me. Capitalism is about giving economic choices to individuals. Socialism gives economic choices to the government. The more money you put through the government, the more power you give to the government, and the more you invite corruption. So I would argue that socialism will always lead to corruption. There have been some people who have resisted the corruption, but I think at a certain level of socialism it becomes inevitable.
