Actually, over here in Britain, we'd give the tiger free council housing because we aren't felinist, not all tigers eat people every day, besides, people being eaten is just part and parcel of living in a village.

Pets, livestock, and even human children being abducted by large cats is a fairly common problem in Asia, mostly India.

It's usually in the night so there's not an awful lot that can be done about it.

This wasn't an argument point I just wanted people to know.

Hunting at night takes lights, which requires electricity. All of theirs is being used in call centers.

It's almost impossible to prevent with the resources they have, since tigers have very good eyesight and hearing, are near silent when hunting, and are very difficult to see, especially in the dark. They'll just wait until nobody is watching and then it only takes seconds for them to get in and out, having taken a small pig or goat.

One of the problems is that the people then go out tiger slaughtering and kill maybe 10-15 tigers and declare "we probably got the one that was eating livestock".

"I don't care that we just cleared 50 acres of tiger forest that supplies them with food and replaced it with our livestock farming. They should steer clear."

A gun won't kill anything without someone to pull the trigger. The question of what to do about that person is the same of what to do about that tiger, though i'm going to drop the metaphor here for everyone's convenience.

The current solution to this mass shooting problem seems to be: wait and do nothing until they commit a massacre, then shoot/arrest them, or wait for them to shoot themselves. The alternatives are endless, with a few obvious options (better mental health facilities, common sense gun control) always talked about but never implemented.
