I think Barack Obama is a bad president.
User avatar #152 to #47 - redstag (07/13/2013) [-]
I agree!
User avatar #53 to #47 - hellomynameisbill (07/13/2013) [-]
I disagree with your statement
User avatar #127 to #53 - metalmind (07/13/2013) [-]
Well, I have to sidagree with you, but I think for other reasins than rocksteady.
He is a weak negotiator, that lost almost all desputes with the republicans, he is, as all American Politicians, far rightwing.
Also his government keeps executing people through drone attacks, of which only 1-2% actually hit the intended target. Also, his DJ 4DM1Nistration as extended surveillance, persecuted whistleblowers like no other, despite saying he wouldn't.
He achieved few things despite his universal healthcare. Which is not that good anyway.
And he, like all other american politicians, is dependent on his rich donors.

I didn't ask if you did.
User avatar #55 to #54 - hellomynameisbill (07/13/2013) [-]
I respect your opinions
User avatar #60 to #55 - rocksteady (07/13/2013) [-]
No, you answered a question that wasn't asked, which only happens when provoked by anger; more over, I never asked: "Do you agree with my statement."

It's not rocket science kid, if you respected my opinion you would not have disrespected it.
#86 to #60 - facepalmftw (07/13/2013) [-]
He didn't disrespect your statement, he expressed his own opinion on the matter, which ought to be equal in value to your own. The mere fact that you got defensive of your opinion shows that you are in some way ashamed about it. Not knowing you, I cannot tell you exactly what it is. Maybe you think he is a bad president because he is black. Maybe it is because of his policies. Maybe you feel ashamed because your friends and/or family like him; I don't know. What I do know, however, is that this person's opinions are as valid as yours. Nobody asked if you like our current DJ 4DM1Nistration, so you really have no grounds to berate Bill here for voicing his disagreement. If you insist on being so intolerant of other people's opinions, please try to keep your own to yourself.

Tl,dr: Respect people as much as you want to be respected, or get the **** out of society.

He thumbed me down when he posted it.

You are wrong, long winded and wrong.
User avatar #190 to #95 - hellomynameisbill (07/14/2013) [-]
I didn't thumb you down
User avatar #191 to #190 - hellomynameisbill (07/14/2013) [-]
If I thumbed you down I would be disrespecting your political opinions
User avatar #143 to #95 - KazumaKyu (07/13/2013) [-]
... I'm sorry, are you magically able to tell who precisely thumbed you down?

The answer to that question is no. You assume he thumbed you down, but you have no way of knowing that for certain.

Thank you for not using definitive terms when they are wrong, foolish and wrong.
User avatar #146 to #143 - rocksteady (07/13/2013) [-]
What if I told you I know he thumbed me down.
User avatar #147 to #146 - KazumaKyu (07/13/2013) [-]
If you told me this I would know you to be a liar.
User avatar #148 to #147 - rocksteady (07/13/2013) [-]
Then you know wrong.
#100 to #95 - facepalmftw (07/13/2013) [-]
You didn't even bother to engage him. You just told him to piss off. You berated him for sharing his opinion, just like you did. And by the way, It looks like you are in better thumb shape than he is, so crying about that doesn't help your case.
User avatar #101 to #100 - rocksteady (07/13/2013) [-]
I didn't ask to engage him
#103 to #101 - facepalmftw (07/13/2013) [-]
And he didn't ask to hear your opinion.
User avatar #106 to #103 - rocksteady (07/13/2013) [-]
He did when he un-provokingly applied to my comment.
#107 to #106 - facepalmftw (07/13/2013) [-]
No no, I mean he didn't ask to hear what you thought of President Obama.
User avatar #149 to #107 - rocksteady (07/13/2013) [-]
I never told him my thoughts of President Obama. I didn't even know he existed until he told me his thoughts on my opinion of President Obama.

#183 to #149 - facepalmftw (07/13/2013) [-]
Okay, let me put it this way: Nobody asked if Obama was a good president or not. Nobody asked what you think on the matter. By expressing your thoughts like you did, you opened the topic for discussion. Its like posting on facebook "Uugh! Terrible day!" and when people ask why, saying "I don't want to talk about it." ******** . That's exactly why you commented on it. What if I said "You are a faggot"? Would you respond? Of course you would. Because I opened my mouth, I opened the topic to discussion. That's how society works. You don't like Obama. You know that you don't like him. So you don't need to tell yourself that out loud. The only reason to open you mouth on the subject is to inform others of your opinion. By doing so, society dictates that others may then join in your discussion. If you DON'T want people to comment on your beliefs, keep them to yourself. It really is that simple.

P.S: I have not thumbed any of these comments in either direction. That was all done by bystanders.
User avatar #184 to #183 - rocksteady (07/13/2013) [-]
I didn't open a topic of discussion. It didn't mater if anyone asked, it wasn't an answer or reply. It was a statement.
#195 to #184 - facepalmftw (07/15/2013) [-]
By voicing your opinion openly in public, you opened it to discussion. That is how society works. If this is a concept you cannot grasp, you need to socialize yourself. Forcefully if need be.
User avatar #196 to #195 - rocksteady (07/15/2013) [-]
You do not open a discussion by voicing an opinion. You open a discussion by starting a discussion.

I am sorry that simple logic is to hard for you to grasp.
#197 to #196 - facepalmftw (07/16/2013) [-]
You are one thick-skulled retard.
User avatar #198 to #197 - rocksteady (07/16/2013) [-]
You are stupid. I have corrected you many times now, I hope you learned something.
#199 to #198 - facepalmftw (07/17/2013) [-]
Did I ask for your opinion? No. Shut up.
User avatar #200 to #199 - rocksteady (07/19/2013) [-]
You did ask my opinion idiot, if you re-read everything you wrote, you wrote many things in the phrase of a question.
#192 to #184 - hellomynameisbill (07/14/2013) [-]
Dude, If I wanted to disrespect someone based on their opinions, I would gain nothing. Opinions are worthless until they are put to use. I'm not even american and you still gave me the same response that you would've given to a Obama supporter who said that he hated Romney.
so chill the **** out and enjoy this picture
have a nice day
