It's not like Silver is a bad guy...he has a ****** up father who hates him.

This is why I love Heart gold and Soul Silver so much. They expand so much toward Silver. After the Elite 4 his previous ideals toward pokemon slowly begin to change.

You can find him in Blackthorn city and he'll go up to you and say "hey...you wanna go fight Lance and Claire with me? Together..."

Then after that fight if you go back to pallet...silver's starter is there. Elm said he returned it because technically he did steal it and wanted to make amends while in turn getting better with the pokemon he did catch legitly

I love Silver. A lot as a character. GG Game Freak you made me feel.

I'm trying this now. All that bitch of a dragon trainer told me to do was go back to new bark. Am I missing something, or is this part of that celebii event?

Nothing to do with the Celebi event.

What happens is if you're just randomly curious and go back to the Dragon's Den in Blackthorne after you complete pretty much a lot of the post game Lance and Claire casually say "How about a double battle?"

Just when you think you're fighting alone Silver comes in a blaze of glory and says "Team with me? Let's rek ****."

It's kind of a short fight but to be fair

Gen 2 has so much after game it's ******* GLORIOUS

and anything helps.

Cynthia calls you and says "Yo. This Kyogre thing is being a dick please catch it. Also if you have the Groudon and Kyogre and bring it to Professor Elm he'll tell you Rayquayza is waiting for you.

You get that double battle with Silver, You obviously get the Kanto Gyms, You get the Kanto Legendaries and the Johto Legendaries

There is just so much to do. Pokemon Colosseum had more aftergame than Gen 3. Gen 4 gave you the option to hunt the Regi-Golems so you can catch the ultimate one.

But other than that after games in pokemon keep getting smaller and smaller

Gen 2 is San Andreas wheras gen 6 is like GTA 5

Wait, how do you know about his father? Silver has always been my favorite rival because of how much character development there is throughout the game and Soul Silver added a lot more but I never learned about his past.

You can see the change as soon as it happens because the damn Golbat he's had since forever finally evolves into a Crobat as soon as he stops being a tremendous dick to his mons

Which is why Gold/Silver were such great games.

Its strange how much thought are put into games like this and often they do teach a valuable message.

If you know your work is going to deeply affect the hearts and minds of children, I'm sure they pour every once of love and soul they have into those games.

I like that silver is actually a rival, unlike the rivals in most of the gens. He isn't your friend, he isn't out to help you. In gen 4 at least your rival was competitive, but in the end it was just about pushing each other so you could both become stronger. Silver wants nothing more than to beat you, to be better than you, which makes it that much more rewarding when you finally do become friends with him. You feel like you as the player have convinced him to change his mind, and helped him become a better person.

I'm inclined to agree, but, none the less, history has proven the quote to be accurate for some great inventors.

Inventors, not artists.
Its one thing to improve upon a creation or idea, but you don't take someones art and try changing it.

But see the thing is, you say a quote like that, someone stupid will see it and take it to heart and start being an art thief.

Well, to be honest, I find it hard to feel a responsibility for other people's actions by mentioning a quote that has been said by great people like Steve Jobs with much more influence than me - a random student on the internet.
