Well, the "potion" is more like a spray-on disinfectant. It'll keep you healthy, but it doesn't pick you up as much, where as the water is probably more refreshing and acts as a more adequate pick-me-up. Remember, these things are fighting until they "faint". Stamina is probably more important than actual health in these matters.
